There were a few pretty easy tests, a few times where you teach your peers, a large project at the end. Participation is a must, but this class is fun, entertaining, and goes by quickly. Nan is an awesome professor and is very passionate about what she does. You learn a lot about HOW to teach music in classrooms, rather than memorizing terms

Comment:

Teaching music is very important to her. Enjoyed the class, but she is very unclear about how she grades. Uses a check system, and it is almost impossible to calculate your grade yourself. Project was a lot of work, but she gives plenty of class time to work on it. I believe she is the only one who teaches 343, so no choices.

Nan's really good at what she does. Lots of singing!! There are a few small lessons to teach and one super insane crazy huge large portion of your grade project towards the end of the semester.

Dr. Nan's class is a breeze! A lot of participation is required and you can only miss 3 classes without your grade being dropped. Multi-cultural project is challenging. Her exams are a bit easy but can be difficult. Overall, the class was fun and I would take Dr. Nan's class again.

I got an A on every test and project and she gave me a C in the class. I told her I did not think this was right and she told me to wait months to figure out if its correct when I am graduating. I was absent due to having surgery and she was not understand. Be careful if you take her and keep all your work. I know I can prove I have an A.

Dr. Nan was fantastic. Her class was always fun, extremely interactive and entertaining. She really does an excellent job teaching music by getting you involved the ENTIRE class. Was actually kind of a stress outlet for me. HIGHLY enjoyable! Learned through her class, that indeed, anyone can teach music.

Good teacher, but a bit condescending at times (I think she forgets she's not teaching elementary students.) Frequent, easy assignments; take home final. Multicultuarl project is fun, but a lot of work - make sure you get with a group that pulls their own weight.On tests, make sure you give HER answer - even if it's not the correct answer or what you would really do in a given scenario.

Very passionate about music and teaching. Gives students lots of great activities to use in the classrooms. Tests are rather easy, take home final. Fun Multi-Cultural Project. Highly recommend her!

This class is full of busy work and you have to write on your lap (no desks). Out of the 4 "Wee Sing" books required, we only used 2. The other 2 I didn't even open and couldn't return. I rarely did any of the readings and Aced the tests. If you are familiar with musical terms or did well in the previous music class, you'll do just fine.

she makes you buy all these non-refundable books, because she CASHES in on them! bought like 8 books and only used 3 i believe! waste of money!!!! overall though shes an easy teacher but assigns a lot of easy assignments. i dont think we had a day where NO WORK was assigned. good luck!

GREAT CLASS! This class is a lot of fun, full of great activities and you learn a lot! Go to class and participate. EASY assignments just busy work. 2 midterms, in class. So many points its easy to do great. Great teacher as well! She makes learning FUN!

As long as you go to class you'll do great. There's only one midterm and 2 take home quizzes worth one midterm grade. But you have to go to class in order for you to know what you have to do for her assignments. She's really nice, but be ready to be treated like a little kid....

It is not the type of class where she knows who you are. You are just a number to her. EASY class as long as you do ALL the work. The tests are easy. The final is a group project. It's a fun & easy class & you'll learn cute songs to do with kids.
