Comment:

Extremely boring, uncaring, and extremely rude professor. Her lectures are boring and and she reads off the power points. Barely gives partial credit on exams and is terrible and rude at explaining things when you ask a question. She gives "extra credit" but it only goes to the hw and once you reach the maximum points you don't actually get extra.

This class is fair and straight forward. If you just need a science w/lab take this class with her. The professor is fine, but you dont really need her to do well. You just need to read the textbook. The lecture notes are online. There are some participation points so I would recommend going to class. But you'll do fine if you dont go.

Comment:

Not quite as bad as people make her out to be. She is very vague in lecture and only gives marginal help. However, she based her test on the homework material and offers extra credit towards the homework which was helpful. Also allows half a sheet of notes double sided each exam and 2 sheets double sided on the final. Very lenient on due dates.

I loved Professor Bachman, I don't know what you people are talking about. She is very clear and her notes are very easy to follow. Her tests weren't any surprise, they were all from the notes and the textbook. I really enjoyed her and her class and I can't wait to take more upper level biology courses with her!

The class is extremely easy if you have any background in bio whatsoever even if that was in middle school. The lab is fun if you do not have her as your lab teacher. She is extremely boring, but it isn't too bad to stick it out. Avoid if you can.

Class is really easy. All she does is lecture all class. You dont even have to pay attention. The notes are online. But read the textbook, that's where the test questions come from. Lab is extremely easy as well. If your looking for an easy gen ed class to get out the way. Take her!

Nancy Bachman is an awful teacher. She is an expert in her field anf she expects everyone else to be to. She is very condescending and treats you like you are stupid when you ask questions which she doesnt answer. THe book is used a ton and the work load is hard to keep up with. On the tests your only as good as your cheat sheet.

Dr bachman is the worst if you see that you have her for lab on the first day of class GET OUT OF THERE!!!!! she is absolutely useless when it comes to asking for help. she assigns so many papers and doesnt hand out ANY guidelines when all the other labs had guidelines. and expects you to know excel when she doesnt.

i have her for lab and she is the absolute worst. she expects us to know how to use computer programs that she can't even figure out. she makes you feel dumb, she's very egotistical. she never answers questions without leaving you more confused than you were in the start. do not take her if you can help it.

The worst. I had her for Bio lab and Zalatan for lecture (best professor at Oneonta). She is VERY condescending towards students. She is flat out rude and very unhelpful. She is also my academic advisor. She straight out ignored emails, and misses scheduled meetings.

By far one of the worst professors. She is an egotistically, big headed jerk who offers little to no help when asked and probably laughs on the inside because we don't understand. Her power point slides are the most messy and all over the place notes. I highly recommend getting the other biology teacher.

Bachman is the worst professor i have ever taken. She is rude, unclear, boring, and never answers questions clearly. Very condescending towards students, this class was useless. The clicker is the a freakin joke, and she bases a big chunk if your grade on it. overall a terrible experience.

she is a terrible lecturer. Class is boring as hell and she makes u go to madatory meetings outside of class time, to do lab work. she is a nice lady, but a crappy teacher. Labs were ok and there are quite a few grades. tests are somewhat difficult but very short.

she was not all that helpful. I asked a question and she told me to go figure it out when i was asking for help on it. i got no help in that class, she does know her stuff, but actually getting it across to the students in a manner of understanding is a differnt story.
