Comment:

Class is not nearly as hard as the other reviews you see here. I only studied for 3 days prior to the exams. The key is to do all of the exercises she assigns and take notes of what you get wrong, while also paying attention to tricks the questions use--she puts the same tricks on her exams. Overall, not bad, final is pretty easy, got an A on it.

Comment:

Professor Baldiga is probably the best professor I have ever had. She is a genius and it seems as though she plans her lectures down to the second to ensure you understand what she is teaching. Her class is hard, but if you put in the work you can get a lot out of it. I would recommend spending as much time as you can learning from her.

Comment:

She is the most amazing person that I had for an 8am. It is hard to keep students awake and aware of what's going on in intermediate accounting (and she does a very good job at it!) Her explanation about materials are crystal clear. She is a little intimidating sometimes too, but I would say she is best acct prof in the department I would say.

Absolutely the best professor in the accounting major at HC. Really into her students and wants them to succeed. Very passionate about accounting and finance.

She is an awesome professor, very enthusiastic and passionate about the material. It is a hard class but if you work for it, you can do well. She really developed my overall understanding of accounting. Absolutely the best professor I have had at Holy Cross.

Amazing professor. She moves very fast but her energy and excitement for the material in contagious (and it is hard to get college student excited about balance sheets at 9 am). She is intimidating at first but I think my view was hindered because of having Professor Teitel the semester before. Best teacher I have had at Holy Cross.

Took this class as part of a major requirement. Hardest accounting class I've ever taken here. She lectures too fast and tests are extremely difficult. If you study hard for the exams you will learn a lot but it is hard to get a desirable grade.

Very helpful professor in office hours. The tests are VERY challenging and, if you don't do too well on one or two of them, your grade will not be desirable. Nice professor, but her tests are quite difficult even if you understand the material.

This course has a lot of hype for being a very hard course and Prof. Baldiga has a reputation for being especially difficult. This is not the case. She teaches you everything you will need to know during class, you just need to get used to the tricks she can put on exams. If you don't understand a topic, she will be more than happy to help you.

She encourages students to attend office hours where she is super clear and nice! Intermediate Ac. 1 is a very very hard course. 13 of the 35 People failed out of the major by the second exam in my class. It is unbelievably demanding, and goes at a very fast pace. The previous ratings do not do her justice at all. The material is very hard and she moves at a fast pace, but she is an incredible professor. Truly cares about her students IF YOU ARE WILLING TO PUT IN THE EFFORT. Intermediate is a very tough subject and there's no better person to learn it from if you are willing to work hard and try your best.
