Comment:

LOVED Ms. Bizal! There's not one thing that I learned in this class that I won't use in real life. She is a tough grader but she welcomes students into her office for criticism before assignments are due. She is old-fashioned, but most of her quirks have gotten her to where she is now so it's wise to pay attention since she has the knowledge.

Makes you learn APA formatting on your own. Makes you learn punctuation through a punctuation book, don't forget about the punctuation test. You can go over a whole assignment up front of her, with feedback, and still have everything wrong. Likes to give surprise assignments. Will take off for everything possible.

Nancy seems to be a very nice person and is great to talk to in her office but her grading is ridiculous. She is very inconsistent and expects you to already know everything. So much work for 1 cr hr. She usually talks the whole time in class which makes it pass by slow. Expect her to critique your every move

I enjoyed this class. The homework is just busy work, you don't really have to think much about it when you're doing it. Professor is picky so learn what she likes and it'll be a cake class for you. The big paper due near the end of the semester is a huge paper, so go to her office for help because she actually does help

This professor is nearly impossible. I have a 3.9 GPA, and this is the only C I've ever gotten in college. She is inconsistent, doesn't provide you with a detailed syllabus, and doesn't follow her own rubric. Also you are NEVER right, so don't bother with arguing. Would absolutely not recommend this professor.

Bizal is okay teacher. You have to do everything her way, and if she likes you then you'll be fine. Summer class is all about the final project, so if you dont do good on it, then thats your grade. I recorded her class and used her suggestions on the homework and she still told me it was wrong....

All these people leaving negative comments are full of it. Nancy Bizal is by far the best teacher I have had a USI, and I have been here for 3 years. She assigns a lot of busy work and some of it may be difficult, but she will always help you out with something if you need it..just gotta ask. She will prepare you for the real world.

have to do things her way. if you sit in front she will like you. at first I didn't like this class but now i'm thinking it's ok. have to do a big paper on your career field and talk to 3-4 ppl in that field. sounds horrible i know but i think it was a really good learning experience and it helps with networking. the most i've learned in college.

Nancy Bizal cares about one thing only; doing things her way. She doesn't care if you have your own methods that work for you. If you don't do things the way she tells you to do them, you'll not get a good grade. I graduated 3.0, am very successful professionally. The only bad grades I ever got were from her, because I did assignments my own way.

She expect quite a lot from her students but if you take the class seriously it is very easy to pass with a B or so. Her class can be a major pain in the butt or extremely beneficial. Take it seriously and you'll enjoy her class.

like everyone else said she's inconsistant with her grading. Which was a huge issue with me. Her grading system doesn't even make sense (check minus/check plus/checks) i know some university students need to be treated like todlers, but i didn't appreciate it.

Nancy is very inconsistent! She may say one thing today and another tomorrow. She actually critiqued an assignment before it was due and when I handed it in with her suggestions, she gave me a check minus? DUH! She is very derogatory and unprofessional! She considers herself the queen of etiquette but she's really the queen 'B' of rudeness!

I was scared to death at the beginning of the semester after reading all these comments. I loved Ms. Bizal...she's probably one of the best teachers I've had. As long as you do the work you'll be fine...she lets you redo several assignments and she's pretty lenient about late work.

The people who are posting positive responses are the people in class she likes. There is a clear dividing line in the class. If you are one of the people who like to suck up for a grade then this is the class for you. I am a 4 year graduate with a GPA over 3 and this instructor was awful. She believes there is only 1 way and that is her way.
