Nancy is a good prof, fairly accessible outside class for help and a very friendly lady. She does lag behind the lecture schedule initially so some chapters may get rushed through. She mostly gets you to read the notes before class and then just works on examples during lecture. Tests are fair but looooong so don't waste any time while writing.

Worst Stats prof available. Seems to think homework is necessary for things she hasn't taught yet. Inconsistent pacing, where you learn somethings literally the day before an exam. Examples are ridiculously easy compared to what's found on the tests. Teaches how to do everything on the computer instead of by hand. AVOID!

Nice woman, but not a great lecturer. Can't tell you much else as I was attending Robison's lectures from the second week of classes - on. Moves slowly compared to other prof's and the lectures are pretty dry. Didn't help that it was at 9AM... Very easy course though.

Nancy is probably one of the worst professors I've had the misfortune of getting. Her examples are very inconsistent with what you have to do on assignments and exams. She focuses mostly on Tophat questions, some of which we haven't even covered in class, and her pacing is horrendous. We went through 1 section for over 2 weeks because we're behind.

She does not cover anything in lectures. She only does Tophat questions on stuff she has not taught yet and expects you to know what shes doing. She is all over the place in her teaching and makes mistakes all the time. Midterm quizzes had mistakes in them and threw you off because the mistakes contradicted what you knew.

Constantly makes mistakes when going through examples in her notes which just confuses you more. Moves too quickly through notes and spends too long on TopHat questions. Never seems to be able to figure out how to center her notes on screen so your notes are always cut off. Generally very irritating. Always needs correction from her students.

Chibry really doesn't seem to care. She gives easy examples as notes that pale in comparison to quizzes and exams and assigns videos of concepts when she runs out of time to cover them. She was also conveniently away for the week of the exam... I suggest avoiding her for this difficult course.

Nnacy didn't write the final but her quizzes are fair comapred to the other sections. You have to watch all the videos she posts if you want to get a good mark and havent bought the book. She really wants her class to do well so she tries to bring up marks as much as she can. The class is really tough but shes one of the best profs for stats

STATS 321 is known to be the toughest Stats course in the department. So, it's no surprise that most students found it difficult. But Nancy is one of the most caring profs. She offers extra marks through TopHat, provides the notes to print and bring to class (answers are filled during class), posts videos of qs that can't be solved in class, etc.

Hands down one of the most horrible professors at U of C. She claims that she cares for her students but she doesn't at all. Shows up late for her office hours or sometimes she is not there at all. She also doesn't go into depth but briefly summarizes on what we should know. Take this Robison or Stallard. At least they go into depth

When we fell behind in the first week, she had no urgency in catching up and spent too much time on top hat questions. I studied hard and went into the final with an A, but the final was IMPOSSIBLE! No amount of studying could have prepared anybody for that exam. It tested your reading comprehension skills rather than your STATS skills. Stay away!

Easily the hardest class you will take in University so it doesn't really help which professor you take it with. Nancy was always behind in class and a bid reason for that was the endless amount of tophat questions she would use during lectures. The final IS SO INSANE that someone collapsed in the middle of it and people were crying after.

It always seemed that Nancy was rushed and she did not seem to know where the class was at even though students were failing her exams left and right. She was hard to reach outside of class and did not even attend the final exam. The number of tophat questions was ridiculous and the final was beyond this world. Avoid this class unless it's required

Doesn't actually teach during class and was behind schedule after first week. kept spending too long on examples and never had time for proofs, kept posting videos made by a different prof online as proofs and they were very poor quality.

Nancy is hands down the worst prof I've had at u of c. She claims to have interest in her students doing well, but is extremely unreachable outside of class and she seems to never have time to actually help her students. If you have the chance to take this class with someone else, i highly recommend it. She ran out of time to even finish the course

Nancy is the best prof you can get for Stats 213. She's really high up in the department so she knows whats up. She is really reasonable and curves marks when she should. You can boost your mark a lot by going to all the labs, doing tophat and doing the post-exam quizzes so make sure you do!!

Dr. Chibry is a very clear lecturer. Her examples are easy to understand and help you become accustomed to statistics. She is there to help students after class and during office hours. Chibry's midterms and lab test are pretty easy however the final is much harder as it is written by other professors. Homework is relatively easy but repetitive.
