Probably one of the easiest professors I've ever had. After I got halfway through the class I took it a lot less seriously. If you have the gist of the concepts being presented throughout the class, you'll be fine on the exam. Just take notes - only mild studying is needed.

she was in a car wreck 8 weeks into the semester. every class we had a differnt prof, and neither of them knew a thing about deviance. her final exam was outrageously hard. you would think that if a professor wasnt in the class to teach the subject the exam wouldnt be so hard. however, before her accident, she was a really good prof.

She thinks she is the smartest person in the world, just because she wrote the book for the class. If you dont share her view you better not let her know. Very unwilling to compromise, no matter what the situation. Avoid if possible. And whoever said she is hot is disgusting.

I like Nancy, she really explains every concept in layman's terms. There was a huge take home essay exam thats worth 40% of grade, so that was a bit stressful. She let us drop an exam if we went to some seminars and did a two page paper on them, so that helped.

Dr. Herman is one of the nicest teachers at CMU. She will give you huge clues on papers as long as you put forth effort to go talk to her and ask for help. The class is so interesting, as long as you show up and do your work you are basically guaranteed an A.

Nancy explains concepts in lay-men terms. She is very easy to understand and her class is very interesting if your a fan of Abnormal Psychology.You will learn things that will shock you! She is by far one of my favorite professors.
