Comment:

Allegheny is losing a great professor and person in Dr. Lowmaster. She is one of if not the best teacher I have ever had. She is passionate about her subject, is extremely helpful during office hours, and is overall a great person. You will undoubtedly work hard for your grade, but her tests/quizzes are fair for the most part.

Professor Lowmaster is an amazing chemistry professor. She is very willing to help, and a good explainer, and is capable of explaining thins in more than one way. She is a very hard grader, but gives lots of assignments and makes it easy to get a semi-decent grade. Most definitely recommend, you will learn and know the material very well.

Dr. Lowmaster is one of the greatest Allegheny professors has. Some call her "picky", but she encourages your best work. It is definitely possible to get an A, but you will work for it. She's really helpful in office hours, and you can talk to her about anything. Nice, intelligent, and down to earth! Highly recommended!

Worst Chemistry professor, period. After taking this class as a freshman, I wanted to drop out of school. Very difficult class; really hard to understand her lectures and grasp the material in real time (I always had to use the book). Very hard grader; tends to be VERY picky about everything. Not recommended to anyone, especially incoming freshman.

I love Dr. Lowmaster! I came into Allegheny hating chem, and now I actually like it after having her. She's so willing to help and never gets frustrated with her students. If you're premed, TAKE LOWMASTER. She's really tough but you'll learn so much if you put in the time. Totally worth the effort. Wonderful professor, great class.

I had her for both 110 and 112 and she is AMAZING!! Do anything to get a class with her. She makes you do a ton of work and you will definitely work hard for your grade, but she is great at explaining everything! Such a sweet lady, brought us food in class all the time! Also willing to help anyone out of class, even if not during office hours!
