do not have to worry about completing all the readings on time as class presentations summarize the readings-which are also helpful with assignment. she is always willing to help and clarify confusion. She can be a little picky with presentations. fair grader for the most part

She is an amazing professor. I found her class to be one of my favourites because of her extreme clarity with the material. She doesn't have any surprises and i find her teaching methods refreashing. She sets you up to succeed in her class! I would recommend her to any and all students.

Comment:

One of the best profs I've had at York so far. She's really funny and clear during lectures. She really cares about the students, and her TAs are equally as wonderful! There are readings for every week, but no homework whatsoever. I highly suggest you take this class if you want a prof who's passionate about their teaching.

Excellent prof!! Very clear and straight forward, has a little bit of a dry sense of humor, but i laughed at her jokes! She had lecture notes posted online which were very helpful, and elaborated on points rather than just reading off the powerpoint. Great Class hope to have her again!

EASIEST PROF, CLASS, AND TA EVER!!! Lectures are straight forward and posted online so attendance is not mandatory. Exams are easy as long as you do your readings. I had Julia as my TA whom is currently my favourite b/c she is SO EASY! I pulled off 90s on exams for studying the day before! HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED!

Amazing prof, very enthusiastic. Very passionate. Although FAR too many readings. An almost impossible number of readings in this course; takes up too much time and you can't get readings for other classes done on time. Makes class interesting. Too many tests, though.

I love this teacher! She has such a great attitude and she is full of energy when she teaches. Her classes are never boring to me. She is the type of teacher that wants her students to succeed. I am sad that we only have her for the fall only. Make sure you get a class with her. You are sure to do well. The TA's are very helpful too. Tests are good

If I could have any thesis supervisor, it'd be Nanc. Her easy-going attitude, and love for her subject area make her one of York's finest. If you're having a difficult time with the fair bit of reading, let her know, she'll help find you a tutor.

Awesome prof. Easy going with a great sense of humor. keeps material interesting and relatable to everyday experiences. Tests are nicely spread out and are relatively easy if you've done the readings and gone to lecture. Final assignment was reasonable but a little unclear. Great course that actually made me like sociology!

She is a really nice person who brings humor to her lectures, but often she doesn't finish what she needs to cover, and expects you to do a lot of learning on your own. Her mulitple choice questions are quite difficult. She expects you to know very small details of the readings. Be prepaired for lots of readings!!
