Comment:

Incredibly dismissive when you simply raise your hand to answer her questions, especially if you disagree. Also she will go off on rants and completely forget important aspects of the lecture then ask you question about them in papers. The entire structure of the course is a complete mess and the grading (by her specifically) is very inconsistent.

You can tell she genuinely what's her students to succeed in the academics, she has true and in-depth knowledge of Applied Linguistics and Discourse studies. If you take class seriously you can benefit tremendously from her class!

She is very strict and does tend to belittle her students at times. Her class is like "Writer's Bootcamp". It is difficult to get a high letter grade in her class but if you are willing to take the high level of stress you will get a lot out of the course in terms of improving your writing skills.

You will NEVER meet a professor who is more dedicated but she will make you work like hell for every last percentage. On the flip side, she hates a lot of students and treats them like idiots. Only take the course if you're interested in the subject and you're ready to work.
