Anderson is a great professor. His discussions are better than lecture for 221. He's an expert at clearing up confusion and he does great examples that are relevant to the exams. I found many times that if I was confused by Ciesielski in lecture, Anderson had a way of explaining it in simple terms that made it all click.

One of the best. Dedicated to getting the majority of the students to understand the material (computer guts...awesome but complicated stuff), and he really knows how. Great pair with Tessier. Go to him with any question. Also Honors advisor.

Anderson is by far the best professor I had in all four years of engineering. He knows more than most human beings ever hope to achieve. He is a nice guy, very fair, and very approachable. He could make any class seem easy.

Neal Anderson is a great teacher. Very clear in his course. He is so popular in engineering dpt. I very want to tell him something which is that he very looks like Simpson, but I am just affaid to tell him. Anyway, he is one of best teacher in umass. If you hate him, you will like nobody in umass. Great teacher!
