Comment:

This is the most difficult course i've taken at Seneca as a CPA student. You had to read complex concepts to pass the midterm. The content material is extremely difficult. The professor's delivery of difficult course concepts was poor. DBS301 was MUCH easier. I recommend to only take this course if your dream is to be a database administrator.

Some people wouldnt really get this subject and the way he teaches. If you skip some lectures, there is almost no other way to prepare for tests. I personally recommend not to take DBA625 as your professional option. Dont risk it if you can.

Had this prof for DBS201. I didn't like him. Stupid examples, not funny jokes. This year had to take DBS301 and it happened that he was teaching the second half of my semester. Frankly, my opinion changed. His lectures were okay and examples were quite good. Also he's a fair graded and will not deduct marks if you missed/misspelled something.

Professor is not helpful. He does not teach, but instead asks the class for the answer even though we are there to learn. Notes are very vague and the labs are hard. If you will take his class, make sure you are really familiar with databases. If you need help from the teacher, he can be rude.

Those who are in CTY and CNS dont take this course as a professional option unless you are very very good with database. This course has 2 tests and a final, 3 big assignments, and 10 labs. This is a busy course. Think twice to take this course

He is always making jokes in the class in order to try to keep the students interested. Because of this reason some people might find him offensive. If he has a lecture early in the morning, he will be late for sure. You can say that he is not that organize to teach his class and that could be the case. But it is a very knowlegdeable teacher.

He has an accent, so he can be hard to understand sometimes. The lecture slides (from the course website) are unorganized and havent been updated since 2002. He does NOT use Blackboard and doesnt hand back marked labs (so you wont know if you did them correctly or not). He also doesnt post ANY grades until just before the last drop date.

His lectures are so boring, and he was always late by about 10-15 min. Also he ends the class usually 30-60 min early all the time. Sometimes you ask him a question in the class, he embarrasses you by saying that's a bad question. I got a decent mark in his class, he's an easy marker. I still liked him as a person regardless.

Comment:

He is a pretty generousfair marker, and goes over examples that prepare you for tests. Only problem is sometimes it is hard to follow his explanations. Also difficult to know if you actually understand the material, as tests are the only feedback, and you get mark after the test. Still, as long as you go to class, he provides relevant information.

Nebojsa has very good understanding of the course material and can explain the work in a number of different ways. If there are 8am classes on your schedule be prepared for him to come late every time. His lectures are clear and he can give you good feedback if you ask. There were only 2 tests though so not much preparation for the exam.

Huge and deep knowledge of the subject as you will rarely see in other courses. Can't remember anybody else knowing databases so well. The subject is tough and he won't ask vanilla questions, on the other hand it is useful to get such a level of detail. Works hard, is very smart, demands but also shares his knowledge. Pleasant jokes too sometimes.

Nebojsa Conkic is the one of the best teachers in the Seneca college. His classes always interesting,flexible,relaxing, and fun. He is a talented teacher and very good person.I wish I could take all his classes.

A whiz with PL/SQL, and a really funny guy as well. Sometimes his accent is hard to understand, but not often enough to be a big factor. My favourite prof this semester.
