Ned is.... Ned. He's a unique butterfly that will blow your mind or destroy your life. He has no filter, so take whatever he says with a handful of salt and understand that he has offended most people during his career. That being said, he can teach you a lot if you are open to learning and have a slightly twisted sense of humour.

You know what they say, Those that teach can't. He teaches because he doesn't actually make films.

Ned was literally the best prof I had during my first semester at Trinity. He may be a hard marker but he genuinely wants to help you improve in the art and craft of filmmaking. I went in to the class thinking I knew all there was to know about filmmaking and left knowing a lot more than I began with. Great prof, would, and am, taking again.

If there are any posts regarding this prof as any good, they are clearly written by the prof himself. This guy is the most inept person I've ever met. He can hardly form a coherent thought without getting distracted. He is severely ADHD and has zero film knowledge or experience. What a waste of time. Horrifically disappointed.

This class was my worst experience at TWU. The Prof lacks knowledge in the practicality of actual filmmaking.

His teaching style really leaves everything up to the student. He will take you as far as you want to go. You will get out of it what you put into it. I love it! This is real-world training. This is how the world is run. Don't like it? Too bad.

Ned is very helpful and really allows you to push your ideas. He really gets you to understand your characters and how they would react naturally in the plots environment. With his knowledge, I was able to create a script with complex characters and plot.
