Prof. Barry is a sweet heart. If you care about doing well in her class and don't act like a fool she will make an effort to help you. She likes to get students involved in class and do little exercises to understand the lessons better and it actually helps a lot.

Great teacher. She often has cute examples using pictures cut out of magazines to interact with the students. Kind of corny, but still fun and better than just reading out of the book. I think the class is easy and the material is easy to learn.

Class started off easy but I feel it went really fast after that... I struggled throughout the entire class, thought I was going to fail, got tutoring and help from her and ended up with a C+ Ask her for help and do all the homework and extra credit and you can pass!

She for some reason did not like me so she made class hell for me i was taking it CR/NC so i just stopped going. So i guess just do not make her not like you for no reason and you will be fine.

The class started out extremely simple, comparable in easiness to a high school class. She was very nice and the tests were easy, but about halfway through she got frustrated with our class and our tests went from easy to RIDICULOUSLY hard near the end. I had an A up until she flipped the switch, but ended up with a B and I didnt try much. Ok class

I love her!!! I was never thrilled about taking spanish, but when I got to her class it completely changed my outlook on the subject. I loved going to this class!!! She was always very helpful and very clear about what she wanted.

I took this class CR/NC to prepare myself for Span103 because I haven't taken spanish in a few years. DO NOT PANIC, this class is not hard at all. She overexplains every concept so if you don't understand it by then, you just aren't trying. I studied briefly for each exam and got an A on every one. She is a very nice woman and a good professor.

Pretty easy, VERY helpful (her accent is hard to understand sometimes), and she's a sweet lady. It is a LOT of work, but it'll all benefit u when quiz time comes. Do all the homework (normally a page a night), and you'll get an A in the class. TAKE THIS CLASS!!

shes an ok teacher. she gives study guides that dont help on the exams. u have to turn in ALL homwork. randomly calls on u in class. if u already speak spanish, shell give u a hard time. SHE HAS HER FAVORITES, SO BE SURE TO BE ONE OF THEM.

Nelly Barry is a great Spanish teacher. At first I was not sure what to think of her, or this class..but she grows on you. Most of the work is busy work..But it really wasnt too bad, and I'm horrible at Spanish.
