Kildahl is the most memorable professor I've had at WPI. Although his personality is a little rough, he has high expectations for his students and wants to see students succeed that work hard. He's a fair professor, and students who are Ch or ChE majors will learn the material.

I'm sad to see him retire.. wish he was teaching CH 1040 this year because he's a much better professor than Delaney. I actually understood and learned the material, I didn't need a notebook for the tests because Kildahl actually taught what you needed to know. Great guy, great class.

Phenomenal teacher. Funny, interesting, and clear in his points. Made lectures fun to attend, labs bearable, and chemistry out and out enjoyable. Not to mention I never thought I'd hear a teacher threaten to drop a cell phone in a bottle of acetone. Priceless stuff, he'll be missed.

Kildahl is the best professor I've ever had here at WPI. he's funny and very entertaining. It's also nice to see that he gets to know every student's name in his classes, because it makes you feel as though he cares about his students. Great teacher, but bad that he's leaving after next term.

For students whose first ever class in chem is with him,he might be OK.But the bottomline is that for the others,he is unbearable.He teaches chem his own way and is certainly not the way to be taught.So basically he teaches "Kildahls Chem" and not Chem and there is daylight between both of them.
