Comment:
Worst professor for physics if you actually want to learn. He reuses illegible notes he wrote 3-4 years ago and skims them as lectures, so showing up to lecture is pretty much useless. Physics will always be difficult so get ready to self-study a bunch. Tests are exactly the same as practice tests online.

Tests are almost the same as sample tests, homework counts as quizzes. Gives alot of extra credits on tests. Lectures and notes are very disorganized. Try to follow up or else you will get lost during lectures. He is very passionate about the subject and he's also hilarious.

amazing teacher, so much I want my son to take his classes as well. He gives practice tests and they are very similar with the same concepts as actual tests. He explains very well, has a good sense of humor, makes summer classes go by very fast

Mr. Alexander was my instructor for summer 2014. He was great Very helpful and encouraging and really accommodates the pace and wishes of the class. He designs his class for you to enjoy learning and he is passionate about it he is really gifted and KNOWS HIS STUFF His notes were kind of disorganized but a GODSEND I wish I had them now

He is horrible at explaining concepts. He was late to every class but expected you to stay late. He also would leave for a 20 minute break and complained constantly if students left early. I self taught myself throughout the whole semester. Just don't take this teacher.

Mr. Alexander helped me learn my elementary math. He showed the class about 3 different ways to do each problem so that everyone would learn. Awesome and helpful.

Alexander is the nicest man I have ever met! I took him for physics 2a and 2b, and he is incredibly helpful, easy to approach, and really funny! Although I took him for physics, I also asked him for help with calculus and he made time for me. Take him! You will not regret how awesome he is! :)

Spring 2014 is my first time taking a class with Professor Alexander; so far he knows his Intermediate Algebra and stated that we (the class) will get it as well, if not this way then that way, whatever way is up to the individual student. This statement to me meant that even I could being a disabled student with some barriers have to apply myself

Alexander is very helpful and has a great teaching method. His lectures are clear and he posts them right away for students to study. He tells you how he will format the exam and what to study prior to the exam. Great teacher, I really recommend him!

This was my 4th time taking Alexander. He is a fine professor. He tries to work with the student's schedule more than anything. I'm sure he understands, at this point, that it is much more difficult for him to organize structure in a classroom. So,hetries to makehis lackfor thisup by being easier onthe students, if thismeanstostudy forother classes

This is one of the best physics teachers @ chabot. Not only he make physics intereting his tests and labs are so easy. He also try to help his students as much he can by staying after class. Again if you wanna learn physics in easy terms take this guy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

He is extremely easy in terms of tests and labs, but you just don't learn much. If you need to understand physics for your major try taking it at las positas or another college. Chabot's physics department is not very good in my opinion. Alexander isn't very organized and the in class lectures are extremely confusing. Practice tests saved me.

He's a really easy teacher but he doesn't explain things very well. He was strange and made us laugh a lot, if you're looking for an easy A then take him, if you want to learn then don't.

Never to class on time, very unorganized (lost two of my quizzes before entering the grade), never gives assignments back, only enters grades if you remind him at least 20 times, very unclear, doesn't always seem interested or as if he understands what he's doing... it's a class made for an easy A, not to learn physics.. or learn anything at all...

I did not like this teacher, he doesn't really explain things and he just does problems out of the book as the lesson without really explaining them. He doesn't even add extra people, only if a slot opens up. Get a different teacher.

a lot of people say alexander is easy, but i'd say he's just easy going. the tests are still hard if you don't know your stuff. but if you keep up with homework and study accordingly you will do fine. he can be a bit on the disorganized side and goes off topic a lot. but not a horrible teacher.

He's an amazing professor. I feel as though he brings physics to life. You may not realize it, but he really does. So, he more or less, simplifies the material to make it comprehensible. He makes you feel as though you are learning elementary school science, in a physics class, when really, this stuff is 10 times harder. Take him!

He's a nice guy and funny at times and has a good heart but other than that- I've never been so frustrated trying to learn a subject. I hope he gets organized for future students since he lost student papers many times. All but 2 lectures were a waste of time. Helps with labs alot but he didn't start making sense until 1/2 way thru semester.
