She is amazing in every single way and by far one of my favorite professors. The only complaint I ever heard anyone make of her class was that they tend to be very participation heavy, which I thoroughly enjoy, but can be difficult for introverted people.

Nieves' class is interesting and fun. She makes you work hard and think. I really like her classes because they tie history to literature so that you really understand what is going on in whatever time period. I have had Nieves a number of times and think she's fantastic!! :)

Had Nieves for Sex and the City and absolutely loved her. One of my favorite professors!! I recommend any of her classes to everyone - she makes the material very interesting and is an engaging professor.

I LOVE Nieves! She really pushes you to try your best, and is always very positive. Her class is designed perfectly so that you always are on top of things. I wish she taught every Spanish class!!
