Comment:

I would really advise picking a different professor for this course. Brott has an accent that is hard to understand and she isn't good at explaining the curriculum. She consistently forgets to mention deadlines or when assignments/ homework is due. To top it all off, she will never answer her email. Don't skip class + unhealthy amount of webwork.

Comment:

Office hours are minimal and she is hard to find, even when she is supposed to be in her office, she many times isn't. Beware of standing up to her about online homework that is uploaded before it is taught, she does not like being wrong and will be hard on you. She will single you out and give you a hard time if you ask anything she doesn't like.

Math was not hard for me until I took this course, it was extremely confusing and all over the place. I would suggest getting a tutor right away but even with a tutor, content is always changing in her class. She is very irritable with questions and does not update grades. Online math homework is often the wrong content. Pop quizzes happen a lot.

Extremely rude. Very unprepared. Heavy accent and skips out on words, which makes her sentences hard to understand. Really unclear in her directions and says you can't use calculators on tests.

Not a good professor at all. Very heavy accent and treats you like you are stupid if you can't do something right away. Homework never makes sense and NEVER responds to emails. Assigns homework and then teaches the material after the work is due.

She has a heavy accent, and skips out on some words that are important to the understanding of the material. She teaches very quickly and assumes you understand. Also assigns homework before she teaches the material and gets angry when we do not understand. Overall extremely aggravating.

She is a decent professor, her accent is a little heavy and hard to understand sometimes. Sometimes the material being presented isn't clear, but is helpful outside of class. Also understanding when it comes to missing important things if you show you care about the class.

She gives an online textbook so you don't have to purchase one. If you are naturally gifted at math you will do just fine, however, if you need a little more explanation and thought put in to understand concepts you will struggle. She knows algebra like the back of her hand, but she doesn't know how to teach it.

Just to start out, Professor Brott has quite an accent. Honestly, the accent doesn't get in the way of learning while taking her class. While taking Math courses with Professor Brott I noticed she is very passionate about "you" learning the concepts an is willing to spend extra time. Tests, you are well prepared for. *Recommend SLA Section.*

She doesn't like to move onto new things if the whole class doesn't understand what you guys are learning at the moment. There are 3 tests the whole semester other than your final exam. She gives a lot of in class work and says it's homework, but it never actually is homework. Easy class and an easy a as well.

I'm really surprised to see so many negative reviews for this professor. My experience with her was wonderful; I absolutely despise math, and let her know from the get-go. Because of this I feel like she was extra-willing to help me when I had issues. The class was boring, but if you show up and do the work, you'll get by just fine with her!

She was very helpful and would move the classes' schedule around to accommodate to how she felt like we were doing in the chapters. However, sometimes she was rude and embarrassed the other students. She was also very unclear, half of the class period was spent by the students correcting her answers on the board.

This professor is aggressively unhelpful, quite often rude, and makes more mistakes in her work than most of her students, which is sad considering it's a 100 level class. Avoid this teacher if at all possible. The ratings do not lie. TAKE THE MATH PLACEMENT EXAM!!!!

She is a decent teacher but a heartless person. She embarrasses her students.Her accent is distracting and she always makes mistakes. She gets frustrated when you don't understand concepts. I got an A in the class and I still think she is a horrible person.

She is a horrible professor. I like math and she just made it miserable. Her accent gets in the way and she is always making mistakes. I have to teach myself most the material. She can also be very rude at times. If you miss class for any reason she will not let you make it up which hurts your grade.

Oh my god she is horrible. She will teach one method in class and on her tests and quizs, surprise you with something you've never learned. She makes mistakes and doesn't notice and the class has to correct her. We pretty much teach ourselves. Her accent makes things unclear and she is just a bad teacher DO NOT GET HER
