Nina is the greatest choir director I've ever had. She cares about everyone's input and does everything she can to get the best sound out of us possible. In order to pass, you have to show up - but that's a given in choir. And if you have too many absences, she offers extra credit by attending festival choir. Amazing person and professor! Love her

Nina is absolutely amazing. She's got a great sense of humor, is very easygoing, and loves what she does. She's so energetic - she's what makes choir so great. Just be sure to show up to class and learn the music, and you're golden.

I am a recent graduate, and Nina was my saving grace at CMU. She provided creative outlets through choir, and challenged me to be the great musician that I became over my years as a vocal student. I had several voice teachers, but Nina was the one that taught me the most about music and responsibility. Do yourself a favor and join her choirs.

Nina is my favorite professor in the school of music. Whoever says "Don't take this class" is likely someone who is not that great of a singer but was pampered in high school. You don't have to be the best singer to be in choir, but you have to be willing to try, and work hard. I have never seen Nina be rude towards a student and Im a junior with h

I love choir but after taking it with Nina, I will not be taking it again. She sucks the fun out of the class. I felt like I went backwards in my training. She prefers young sounding voices and has obvious favorites. She is incredibly rude to her students and thinks that what she says is the law. DO NOT TAKE CHOIR WITH HER!

The chorus was kind of a let down only because of previously amazing experiences. Don't let "trying out" keep you from any music classes at CMU. It's very relaxed and friendly. The class was fun and challenging. Attendance makes your grade or not (not hard at all)Kind of confusing direction at times
