He misses a lot of class. This results in little to no assignments. A couple of essays, a couple of inclass essays. We did maybe two-three quizzes on readings. Really easy, but you really don't learn anything. I tested into Eng 300, but there was no real learning involved. Take it if you can show up and look like you participate. Hope i pass 302...

Didn't learn anything--I even think my papers got worse after him. I had english proff's afterwards tell me that he taught the wrong way. He plays favorites and if you aren't on that list you get bumped down a grade.

This is the second time taking Hesser. I've learned an incredible amount from him both times. I feel very confident in my ability to write a formal letter or do an A+ research paper. He has infinite patience, and is always willing to take out to answer questions w/out making you feel stupid!
