Way too picky with marking. I lost marks on one flowchart assignment because my decision diamonds "were too wide". So instead of taking a mark off and a "remember for next time", he took a mark off for EVERY DIAMOND, meaning I got a zero despite the actual diagram being correct. And I spent an hour on it too. I don't like him.

His marking style takes marks off rather then giving them to you. As in, if you have eight things wrong but it's mostly right, you still just lost 8+ marks. On a question worth 8 marks, that means you get zero, even if you bascially got the correct answer. What a champ. Will argue with you on the drop of a hat concerning marks.

Goes of topic too often. Tests are insanely hard. Does not give any extra help when its needed, he tells you the same thing he said in class or does not help at all. Makes lectures seem extremely boring. No practical examples what-so-ever.

Though I passed his course much of my class didn't. It is because he very stickly marks things especially small 3-5 mark homework assignments, which you quickly will realize make up a good chunk of your final grade. Also he forgot to record my mark on an assignment and I lost it, so he gave me the avg of the class which was much lower then mine.

He's a decent teacher. If you don't mind being yanked on a leash about his finickiness. Don't bother asking for extra help as he will direct you to the tutor center. I've said it before and I'll say it again, he is _very_ anal about his requirements! Just pay attention in class and you will get something out of it
