She is very smart and tries to give as much information as possible in academic hour. Unfortunately she is very fast and confusing, because she give information and jumping all over material. The exams are really hard. Out of 90 students only 1 get A- on first exam

I learned so much from Mrs. Holter. She will push you on tests but it's not impossible by any means. Honestly, if you are an accounting major you need to take her.

Comment:

The worst accounting class I have taken at Towson. Just rambles about auditing from her personal notes and does not follow the book. Tests are hard with very trick multiple choice. Take different professor (Martin), his tests are online. Holter goes over her material too fast and expects you to understand everything the first time you hear it.

Comment:

She is a great professor. She wants her students to do well. She curves the tests and gives lots of homework to help balance out the grade. However you need to know the material in order to pass the exams. Read the book for a better understanding. Accounting is only difficult if you do not read the book and do the homework!

I went to almost every class and did most of the hw's. Tests were not too hard (3 tests and a final), most of them were all MC and T/F. The final was only on 2 chapters. She may rush sometimes but if you ask her for help she will be more than happy to help.

Class was very intense. She required you to take notes in class and often tested on material not in the book. Tests were difficult and will require alot of studying. She provided no review before tests. Attendance was not mandatory but I recommend not missing any class. If given the chance I would pick a different prof.

Tough professor, tough class. Knows the material. Helpful if you ask her for help. It's a lot of material and the tests weren't easy, but its a 400 level course. I liked professor Holter and would take a class with her again.

The tests are pretty tought and there is rigorous note taking, but overall learned a lot and if you study and do your homework you'll be fine. The IDEA project seems like a lot, but it's not bad.

she is a nice teacher but the course is hard. there are one midterm,a final, and the project. 30% each. and 10% on a video questions paper. you need to study alot to pass this class. good luck.

Holter is a great teacher and knows what shes talking about. The class is hard but I took it with TAX 2 and Advanced in the same semester and did just fine.

Knows auditing through and through. Can really learn a lot from her. Is very nice and easy to approach. The down side-many handouts, a lot of time-consuming work, a little too particular when grading projects (ie-abbreviations on computer generated printouts need to be crossed out and written out yet she says she wants it to look professional??).

Guarentee whatever classes she teaches, its going to be the hardest you will ever take. I have hard her for cost2 and auditing. Try not to take this class with any hard ones (like tax) she will take most of your time. She is the best teacher at towson.

This is the hardest accounting class..requires alot of effort.There are two tests,two projects,and a memo.Tests are tricky and hard..soo do well on the projects and the memo to get a reasonable grade.my advice would be not to miss a single class.she brings in alot of good examples which makes the material a bit easy..She expects alooooooooooot.

Great to see Dr. Holter back teaching auditing. The class is a very intensive class covering alot of material. Make sure to come to class as her handouts and lecture is very helpful. Attendance is not mandatory but i would suggest it. There are two tests, two projects, and one paper. The projects are fairly easy but follow directions to the T.

This was my favorite class this semester. Dr. Holter brought real world examples to the class and unlike my cost 1 class we talked more about concepts rather than numbers which I liked. I really learned a lot from this class and I am so glad I took it with Dr. Holter.

Prof. holter is frenly and helpful. As being international student, writing part was lil difficult for me but she helped me alot. Gave chance to revise our paper and mid term was take home. Definately recommended

Was expecting so much from her...but not worth. Goes very fast over the topic and sometimes not clear.. doesnt put effort to write on board..everything is verbal..including HW solution. So need to work hard to get good grade though text book is easy n self explanatory.

Took for audit and cost 2. She expects a lot out of you and gets upset if you don't try. She is a nice lady and a great teacher, very smart. Tests are kinda tough in audit, but cost 2 is pretty easy.

She's ok. Sometimes she can be a little unclear when going over problems and may rush through them. I'm sure she's one of the better professors so I would suggest her.
