She is bluntly honest about the field of psychology. More first year students should take her 310 class so she can tell them that 90% have no future in psychology. BUt she is very funny and knows her stuff more then anyone else. Her exams are KILLER... it is like she has nothing else to do but correct! But the are not hard...just long.

i had her as a prof in my first year and she is awesome! really clear, witty and brilliant. she has also supervised my honours thesis. the best parts of being in her lab were the folks, the humour, the opportunities, the great amount that i learned, and the fact that she treated me like a human being! She is the best prof I`ve ever had. Take her class-you will love it. She makes sensation and perception so interesting, you`ll learn so much. The exams aren`t hard per se, you just have to know you`re stuff inside out because you have no time to ponder. I finished both exams early, so it is possible. She is THE best prof in the Concordia psyc dep.

Like what others have said, her lectures are interesting and she uses many examples to illustrate what she is explaining. She also uses humour wich keeps her lectures interesting. She does have difficult exams but if you study the class notes and the book well enough you should not have a problem. You will learn a lot in her class.

Extremely knowledgeable and makes learning the material fun and interesting. She doesn't just regurgitate in a monotone voice, exactly what's in the book but explains everything by giving realistic and often "hilarious" examples. The exams she gives challenge you to know your stuff really well, but you will always know what to expect going in.

Dr. O. is an amazing teacher. She makes the subject interesting by applying it to everyday life and is funnier than any other prof I have ever had. Her exams are really hard, but if you study you can do well (unlike other profs who give ambiguous exams). She's easily the best prof I've ever had.
