Comment:

His class wasn't hard. Just go to class and do the HW projects AHEAD of time (give yourself time to ask questions). He explains stuff in detail in class with examples. Tests were: ~60% multiple choice, ~40% project similar to HW. He does get annoyed if you don't do any HW and clearly have no clue what we did weeks ago. Took it hybrid and got an A.

He is so rude and he doesnt like students to ask him questions in class. YES! he will tell you come to my office and ask me. whats the purpose of paying for the class and not answering my questions. he is one of the worse CS instructors at UHD. No Help, No guidance, No Success.

Dr. Ongards is very knowledgeable in his CS. He always has time for anybody to stop by his office. If you pay attention in class and do the work, he will guide you to success. His tests are a little tricky, but that just keeps you on your toes! If you put in the time, you should do well. I would def. take him again.

Very confusing professor... he knows things about this subject but he is completely lost while explaining things... Project was an easy task but he never helped nor he explained anything about it...All you gotta do is to do it yourself otherwise u r seriously lost in this class...

Dr. Ongard's class is a complete waste of time. Unless your a CS major don't bother taking an unnecessary load from a professor who has constant mood swings and intolerant of teaching. The only reason why he's available is so he can keep his job. He can't even teach a simple class w/o realizing getting pissed off. He's not interested in helping.

The class is pretty easy up till the end. But overall he's a good professor. I came in not knowing anything about programming and now I'm more familiar with the subject. His tests are a little tricky But its possible to pass them. The projects are probably even more challenging than the tests themselves, so its good to gest started early on them.

Ongard is a great guy. He is extremely fair. He allows you to practice the programming during practically every lecture. He prepares a detail (lab) workbook with ALL of the notes. All of the resources are there to make an A. If you struggle, get additional help from all of the kids on the 7th floor. Ongard is a good man. Extremely smart&very fair.

I liked this class. The projects and work were usually very simple. Although some of the later projects required some thinking to figure out. It helps alot of if you already have a basic knowledge of how to use a computer because sadly alot of other students didnt. I learned mainly on my own but if you get stuck, just ask him and he'll try to help.

he was an alright teacher - not my all time fav, but definitely not shabby either. Sometimes he can be hard to follow because he expects you to know more than you actually know. He's good looking though, which makes concentrating easy.

Dr O makes U feel like a fool when asking questions in class, he confuses U in class, even the students had to correct him on many occassions.Clarity is not in Dr O's Dictionary. He comes late to class everyday. I mean the zeal to teach is not there, he gives homework,but on tests, the questions look way different from what he says he will set.
