I have no doubt that he is very knowledgeable and a genius in cell bio but he CANNOT TEACH. Makes even simple concepts super confusing and is not helpful at all by giving vague and useless comments when you ask for help. This was a mandatory course so I had no choice but worst experience being in his class.

People say "Chari is a God" or "Chari is the smartest man alive" in these reviews. True, but he isn't a good professor. He is super intelligent and knowledgeable about cell bio concepts but he doesn't communicate this to his students well. He just goes off on tangents because he has too much knowledge. I learn everything from my TA.

Chari is a really progressive prof. His assessments are fun, but your mark doesn't necessarily reflect the effort you put in. Sometimes his course is a huge struggle but at the end of the day, you learn a lot.

Chari's a cool guy, but an extremely boring, super un-engaging teacher, who actually gets the chance to teach some super engaging material. He knows too much for his own good sometimes, over-complicating concepts that we later find out to be easy. Also, goes very quickly in lectures - your hand won't be held, be prepared.

pretty over rated in my opinion, he's good but he's not as life changing as people make him out to be. more interesting than a lot of profs (see Henry Szechtman), but I didn't look forward to class either. Really smart guy with interesting anecdotes/comments, but can be too harsh at times.

This man is amazing. He is by far the most inspirational and understanding prof I ever had at Mac. He is so thorough, has amazing analogies and demonstrations, and has developed some amazing educational techniques. He is a medical doctor, and a researcher, and an out of this world teacher. If you ever have him, you are so very lucky.

AMAZING Prof! I had no idea what molecular physiology was before entering his class, and I had little hope of learning anything. But I've learned so much and he has actually greatly increased my interest in science. Chari is the best. Not to mention, he cares so much about students, and he does so much to accomadate us!
