Honestly, I don't know how she is still a professor at Cal State. She is not only rude to students but will make you seem dumb in front of the whole class for just asking a simple question. She will fail you if you do not participate. Overall one of my WORST instructors at Cal State. DO NOT take this professor... u have been warned.

Very frustrated with this professor. She was slow and did not give good feedback on anything. She would give you low scores on speeches and she wouldnt be willing to talk about it. Seems like she could care less if you passed or not. And im more than upset i have to retake it. waste of my time and effort.

EASY class. Nice professor. Didn't buy the book and just checked out the book in the library the few times needed. Quizzes are all open book online. Hardly prepared for any speeches. Didnt learn anything, take for an easy A.

She's older, she treats us like grandchildren, but she does care about her students. She's a bit in "lala land" and her pwrpoints are redundant. It's all common knowledge and she grades easy. Midterm's hard, but after that it's all downhill.

Extremely frustrated and disappointed with Hall. I learned so little in this class, that I truly feel it was a waste of my time. This class is easy, and you don't have to put in much effort. I learned that after preparing extensively for a speech, and then getting the same grade as someone who basically read the back of a brownie box.

Haha, what to say... Shes a pretty chill teacher, for her age. Shes kind of in LaLa land sometimes and uses really weird analogies, explains things with some difficulty. She's very nice though despite her "airheadiness" and the class is extremely easy, I actually got a lot out of it. I was TERRIFIED of public speaking and now its not too bad!

the class isnt hard. she is just very disorgainized, annoying,and lazy. some kid asked her to put the grades on web ct and she replied " i could do that but thats out of my way and i dont want to." oh and she called my friends speech a "waste of time"

REALLY EASY CLASS. YOU HAVE 3 SPEECHES, 2 IMPROMPTU SPEECHES, 2 QUIZZES THAT ARE OPEN BOOK. ONE OF THE QUIZZES IS YOUR MIDTERM. NO FINAL JUST TYPE A REFLECTION PAPER LIKE WHAT YOU THOUGHT ABOUT THE CLASS. SHES NICE AND SOMETIMES FUNNY. but not too organized on her website

This class is extremely easy. Only about 4 speeches over the semester and a couple online quizzes (open book). Speeches run through Turnitin and speeches don't need to be memorized, can use notecards. Speeches are graded pretty easily unless you really suck at public speaking. No homework, only the speeches, textbook only used for online quizzes.

Originally we had Ribble, but after the 2nd week we got switched to Hall. Overall, it's a relatively easy class. She grades super hard the first speech, after that it's a breeze. Never use textbook for anything other than exams (which are on webct). This is a requirement so don't expect it to be fun, but take her if you want an easier speech grader

This professor was very disapointing. I took the class because I wanted to learn about interpersonal communication, but instead I learned little because the students teach the class not Pat Hall. She is very disorganized, and basically the whole class is WEBCT, but she is computer illeterate, so she messes up WEBCT. You just have to BS assignments

First off, she named herself the "alpha ****" on the first day of class. She's okay, but she growled at us when she got mad. Her notes are photo copied from the book. Tests are online and pretty easy. It's all common sense. Her class is pretty boring though. It's a great time to work on other classes' homework!
