Professor Gabel is one of the sweetest professors I have ever had at this college. She is very understanding if a student can not get a paper done in time, she lets you rewrite your work, and she does not treat you as inferior. The only thing is, she cancels class a lot, mainly because she is so sick. I definitely recommend taking her.

I took her for Renaissance Lit. She cancels class a lot. She's a really nice person, but never seems to have time to give papers back. She likes going off on tangents, too. If you make a point to show you're working, you'll get a good grade. Like I said she's nice, but I think she's a little disorganized.

I really enjoyed her. She is definitely understanding, although I can see why people say she lacks leadership skills. She's very passionate about what she teaches, which helps keep your interest during class.

INCREDIBLY nice woman. But, very long-winded. However, she is the most constructive commenter I've ever had on my papers and taking this class with her has been very helpful, especially since thesis is coming up next semester. I liked her very much and most likely will take another class with her.

I was so interested in this topic before i took the class. Now that im in the class i am so confussed i don't even know which end is up. She is very difficult, unclear and not very helpful. Her tests are extrememly hard and unless your a profession in knowing what is on her mind you will not master the class. Good Luck. She is very hard.

Professor Gabel is the best teacher I have ever had. She's brilliant and kind, as well as fair and helpful. The workload is reasonable and she allows you to revise papers to bring your grades up if you choose. She's marvelous. Take this class.
