Her online class is not hard but its structured terribly. Her tests have multiple right answer questions and sometimes the questions dont even have a right answer. Its an odd class and i do not recommend taking it.

Easy class, but you'll need to keep up with the readings! I missed one exam and still passed the class with a B+. Only complaint was the group project. Why have a group project for an online class???

Dr. PGM cares about her students more than any other professor I've every had. She will dedicate HOURS to giving you feedback to help you succeed. If you are considering graduate school, this course helps prepare you for it. You do have to write a 25 page research paper on the topic of your choosing but she helps you A LOT! Great grad school sample

Exam every 2 weeks. For some reason, she makes the exams longer after each one, but doesn't change the time limit. You need the book if you want to pass. You watch a lot of video content; movies, ted talks, etc. There also a group project that's worth a lot of points. Pay attention to DEADLINES, one missed assignment brought me down a letter grade.

Dr. PGM is incredibly animated, entertaining, knowledgable, and really wants you to succeed! She's super willing to help out and meet up outside of class, but because of that, she does expect effort and there is a good amount of work to do. She's also an amazing storyteller and an empathic human. I'm really glad to have taken her class.

I took Dr. PGM online; Comm-321. I've taken about 7 online courses so far, and this one definitely involved the most work. If you want a decent grade you must put in a lot of work. With that being said, the class is very organized and if you do everything the way she wants it you will get an A. She is tough but fair. Slackers, you have been warned!

PGM is very thorough in what she expects and is truly passionate about health comm. She has you do multiple assignments each week, including watching a film. Have the textbook for this class because it is used a lot. Her exams are super lengthy (usually at least 60 questions) and were given every other week. You just need to stay on top of it all.

Try to make friends in this course so you can go over the material together to make the tests easier. She assigns movies and video clips to watch throughout the week, make sure to watch these cause they will be included in the test. Also there is a big group project that is easy if you talk to your partners.

I do not recommend her online class COMM 321. She is a good professor, but the online class is just bad. One to two movies every week (+ a lot of other videos), a lot of readings, many little exercises with many many different due dates. The group projects are poorly planned, and her exams are 80 questions! Overall, it is just too confusing.

PGM isn't a mean teacher, but her class is the worst. You have multiple movies to watch and take detailed notes on, articles each week, textbook reading each week, a group project that is graded by her horrible TAs, and read a book at the end of the semester. The best part about the class are no lectures to watch. I recommend avoiding her.

Lengthy movies, chapters, articles that are needed weekly. Unclear instructions on group assignments(I did all the work). You need to make time to see her TAs in order to understand the assignment to get a good grade. my impression of this course/teacher was heartache and headache. avoid her if you can. I say this with love.

PGM expects way too much. Her work load is so unnecessary. Multiple lengthy assignments every week. Im taking her online class and she requires you to read multiple chapters, watching multiple (couple hour long) movies, write and reflect assignments and take a test damn near every week. She wants you to enjoy the class but she makes it impossible.

Do NOT take this class if you are just trying to fulfill the requirement. PGM expects a lot from her students and is looking for students to write a full ethnographic piece to her standards. LOTS of papers and weekly quizzes as well as multiple presentations and a final 25 page research paper due. If you do take this class, PICK A GOOD PARTNER!!!

Pgm is great. Her work load is pretty heavy but it's manageable. 25 page ethnographic research paper, biweekly assignments that break down the paper, weekly quizzes, midterm in class and final online.

100% attendance is necessary. Watched movies and guest lectures. MUST TAKE VERY DETAILED NOTES TO PASS EXAMS. Pay attention or she gets salty when you ask questions. Writing assignments are turnitin and graded hard. Exams are very detailed and long. Very unpredictable with unclear grading criteria. I learned very little, waste of time. DO NOT TAKE

AVOID THIS TEACHER AT ALL COST! Toughest grader I've ever witnessed, if you try to ask a question she'll avoid it any way possible and she expects way too much. Her midterm was 100 questions and were absurd questions irrelevant to the books and to the guest speakers. DO NOT TAKE HER

Comm321 with Dr. Geist-Martin is definitely not an easy A, but very manageable. I took this class online over the Summer and there was a lot of reading within the six weeks. However, she is beyond helpful with answering questions about the exam or anything about the class. Get your book early because you WILL need it.
