AVOID HER LIKE THE PLAGUE ! She's a very nice woman, but don't let that fool you ! she doesn't/ is inconsistent with posting grades and give you ALOT of assignments which are busywork. for someone who does this she is VERY precise about how she grades. her class is also very boring and is more of a lecture class then a coding class. U BEEN WARNED

I prefer Hughes for programming I have had so many programming teachers and for some reason Hughes explains things with much clarity I was able to grasp major concepts of the course Of course doing the work and reading the book also helps but she is ALWAYS available. even on Saturdays and Sundays for extra help for people that need it

Mrs. Hughes is a nice person and I believe she genuienly cares about the success of her students. With that said this class can at times be boring and the irrelevant information causes confusion. This course is taught with old school teaching techniques where the majority of the information taught is done so on the board instead of by computer.

Her lectures are purposeless and not helpful, when you ask her for help she only repeats the same thing she writes on the board. If you are confused on an area it'll be hard to get a straight direction of how to solve the error. Take another professor like Dr. Stone or Dr. Lamar!

If you pay attention she tells you everything you need to know. however, if you miss a day, or aren't focused it's easy to miss out on important information. she's a good teacher, but this class really requires your hard work.

She has no idea how to lecture. She is very boring and talks to the board. There were plenty of times when she was very late and we decided to leave and as long as you email her and let her know that you were "sick" she doesnt care.
