Her lectures are all personal discussions about the book. Not learning a thing. Plus she's an extremely hard marker. Never had a teacher/prof say I have writing issues EXCEPT for her. Idk not a fan. She's nice though.

A very sweet lady and a good lecturer and writer. I liked the biographical lectures because an author's biography usually informs the texts and these works are very personal. I found the amount of films we watched really annoying because that time would have been more useful for discussion. Discussion aids in understanding, film adaptations dont

I was looking forward to this class. However, her lectures are irrelevant and dry. She hardly ever speaks on the content of the book itself, going off into lala land on the author's biographical information and wasting time, playing two hour filmic adaptations. Very frustrating.

The most boring lecture I have attended thus far in University. Seems like she goes to class to promote her own works and her self as a writer. Very unhelpful, unattached and extremely boring. Her lectures are absolute nonsensical and have nothing to do with the texts. If you have trouble sleeping, go to this class!

Lectures are largely based on the background information of the author rather than the actual text itself..and the exams are based on the text which doesnt help. She's nice, but I didnt enjoy the class as much as I thought I would. Texts are interesting at the beginning and then get boring towards the end. Hope you like poetry.

She's laid back and approachable during class, almost maternal. She gives you helpful critiques and she's very supportive, BUT she has an emphasis on poetry. Her exam required us to identify quotes by naming the author and the story it appeared in. You can only do badly in her class if you never attend, never participate or never did the readings.

One of my favourite courses so far. Keeney is such a great lecturer. She's witty, funny, interesting. A sweet lady too. Her tutorials were great. She's very open about her writing. She's a hard marker, but not unfair. A lot of reading, but it's all great works. Contribute to discussion, she never shots down an idea or question.

Well, I liked Pat, though we had creative differences... she is much like Teleky, so if you like him, take a class with her... I didn't, so I struggled with her, though she helped me out alot with some of my work and let me redo an assignment I did incorrectly.

Patricia is a master at pointing things out but not giving answers - very conductive to the creative process. Wonderful workshop leader and quite a writer. You can't go wrong with hair like that.

A great TA to have! She is so intelligent! I love my creative writing workshop. I'm not getting the best marks, but i'm learning a lot and really enjoy her feedback. She's fun, and clear, and easy to talk on a personal level!
