Best prof ever. Only one to ever show an interest in individual students more than just as a paycheck.

ridiculously boring. 90% of the time she talks about her work in papua new guinea. and the other 10% is movies. didnt find anything interesting at all. she should broaden her material. unless you plan on going to papua new guinea, skip this class if possible.

Patti Peach is the best thing CNC has going for it. It's mostly thesnotty nursing students that don't like her. I found and find her to be brilliant and funny!

Very dry material, but she attempts to keep the students interested by applying her own personal experiences through her past visits to other places. Does not hand you all the information on a silver platter, but expects you to seek the info out yourself. In the end if you work hard, your grade will truly reflect it.

Throughout my education years absolutely no teacher showed interest in my education but Dr. Peach and I'm very thankful for that. Professor's like her are so rare and when they do come along they need to be recognized greatly. She gave me encourgement when I gave up on myself and gave me a shove when I was stalling. She believed in me.

Accidentally said 'alcohol' instead of 'actual' today. Really funny. Doesn't actually teach you what anthropology is, but you get to know a hell of a lot about New Guinea. Make sure to do your essay on something to do with New Guinea. If not, have fun getting a decent mark. She scares me a lot. I don't like hearing about her "personal life".

Great teacher if you can listen objectivly and allow yourself to learn what she has to offer. Students grounded in western ideologies may be confused by what she has to say. Utilize office hours early to clarify any confusion over papers.

Peach knows how to take a subject that has the potential to be interesting and turn it into torture. Getting help and guidance from this woman is like pulling teeth. It does not matter how much effort you put into your work, you are going to end up with a mediocre mark. Do not buy the book, as a matter of fact, dont take the course.

Holy Goodness this woman has no clue what she's talking about, but apparently because she's been to Papua New Guinea... we should all bow down and soak up every word she says. I learned nothing. If you want a GPA booster, take the class... if you can stand to listen to her... it's pretty useless otherwise,

Patty is one tough and sour peach. Thank God for the video days and discussion days, because lecture days are almost impossible to get through. She stands and reads in a monotone voice out of some book she's found. She also marks like her first year students are fourth year students, and is not open to any ideas but her own.

As a nursing student the course content was useless. Unless you plan on studying in Papua New Guinea, it is unneccesary to take. Always agree with her because your grade depends on it. She is a very hard marker.
