I have taken her for three classes and especially loved her SW 631 Cross-cultural class with the Saginaw-Chippewa tribe. She really cares and tries to do a lot of visuals instead of just book reading. I would take her again.

Dr. Bolea is a very interesting to listen to. The three hours in her class flew by. Her assignments were stimulating and she graded them fairly. She is approachable and is very accessible to students after class and during her office hours. She is a great teacher. I wish she taught more classes. I would take her again if I could.

Was by far the most influential instructor of my college career. She will impose a value system on you, those of the field of Social Work. If she makes you uncomfortable you should probably find a new profession. If you are looking to slide through without being challenged you will want to avoid her classes.

Dr. Bolea was a wonderful instructor. She was very approachable, helpful AND funny! I was pleasantly surprised at her sense of humor. I felt like she went out of her way in her communications to us. She was very concerned about our success in her course and always provided prompt feedback.

Bolea's person is very cold and unapprochable. Being that she is one of the big wigs in the social work program, she contradicts her title by being inflexible, and only interested in her own agenda, which has NO relation to the success of the students. In brief, she is the reason I have chosen not to pursue my Masters at GVSU

Liked her teaching style until I started getting papers back or asked for help. Asking for clarification on the syllabus was met with "Didn't you read the syllabus?" No major grades back until 3 weeks till semester end! Grades tough...no study guide for final...she wants her opinion in papers without telling you what that is. I won't take her again

This was the worst teacher that I have ever had. It is really hard to leave any comments that are not profane because she was such a horrible teacher. She imposes her values on students, is unfair, and the class was awful. Do not take this course unless you like having a teacher telling you how you should think. I'll never take her class again.
