hopefully the guy retired by now. He was too old to be teaching the class. He would show up late and hand out an assignment. Instead of teaching he would talk about sports or and unrelated story. Cant tell you how many times I would show up, not take out my book and be dismissed 10 minutes into the class. Also canceled class many times w/o notice

many students complain about him finagling with their grades. you just have to be assertive and he will usually let you correct the assignment and gain additional points. ended up taking him for 3 classes. great guy. Ohio state guy, play that up for additional attention.

Let me start off saying professor degnan is a great guy! He is not a geat teacher. I enjoyed conversating with him and he always lets you turn in work late. Unfortunately the only things I learned from his class were things I taught myself. If you are not good at self learning I would not recommend this class.

I have had Professor Degnan for nearly every Business class so far. He knows the material inside and out. Degnan is the type of teacher that values respect more than anything. Show up to class prepared, do the homework, listen to the lectures (he will tell you everything that's on the tests), participate in class and you won't have a problem.

Class is tough in that there are only 3 or 4 tests & one miserable grade makes it impossible to succeed even if you get A's on remaining. That is why he encourages people to drop. If did poor on your 1st test your likelihood of success is limited. He is doing you a favor. He is not the best at articulating; you must study on your own.

Unless you love learning exclusively from the textbook and/or memorizing terms that the professor goes over very little, if at all, you will hate this class. He does not "teach," he hands out assignments and expects you to learn it by yourself. This course might as well be an independent study class--his answers to questions are beyond vague.

Pr. Degnan doesn't teach the class. He rambles on needlessly. If you want to learn business, read the textbook. His assignments and exams have terminology where any answer can be made wrong. He encourages students to drop. He disregards questions and differs to you finding a tutorGood grades come from plagiarizing the textbook. It is a sad class.

Very good teacher. I had him one semester and he failed me for the midterm, so I dropped it and hated him, re-took it next semester and actually studied and got an A in the class. At first I thought he wasn't nice but overtime he showed that he really cares about students and he is a GREAT professor.

He can be a little crazy at times, but he legitimately cares about you and wants you to learn. He doesn't care about late work at all, as long as you put the effort in and do a good job. This is my fourth class with him. I absolutely look forward to my time with Degnan.

He's a little crazy at times but he helps you understand the material as best he can and he genuinely cares about your learning. He also makes it so it isnt all about the grades. He stresses the concepts and students' understanding rather than assignments and exam grades. My favorite professor of all time, and a very friendly guy.

I took him for macroeconomics. Hard class. He was very nasty. I wasn't failing but I wasn't willing to take a B because he graded things wrong. He would take half credit off for missing one detail. He knows his stuff but he doesn't teach it in class half the time because he rambles on and on about other stuff.

He was tough, but he demanded that students work up to their potential. I got a D on the first exam, but I pulled it up to an A by the end of the semester. The key is to do all the assignments really well (he is generous with extra credit) and to study exactly the questions he gives you for the exams.

Degnan sorts the real students from the casual students. He tells you what is on his tests, but you better study if you want an A! He gives great examples in class and shows a genuine interest in the students he knows are serious about education.
