He is an extremely difficult marker. 3/4 of the classs failed their essays (Second Year Cdn Lit class). A group of girls went to the place on campus where they help you improve on your essays and they did worse!! Also, don't EVER write an essay that disagrees with his point of view, speaking from experience. Don't take a class from him.

this man is obviously set in his ways... his classes are fairly boring and he is the hardest marker for essays, really particular. would not recommend him as a prof, although his reading list for western can. fiction is really good.

Dr. Denham is a nice man when you talk to him personally. He is a hard marker on essays, but by being a hard marker he helps to make you a better writer. I suggest taking his class if you want to improve your writing skills.

Western Canadian Literature: Paul should in no way be teaching about western canada, he knows nothing about the subject. He is a city boy from the east who read some text books and htinks he knows what life is like for westerners. Also an unfair marker.

(Western Canadian Lit) At first you question whether or not he's friendly but then you realize that he is just reserved and it's cool. Well-read and nice. Ask questions. You will get a lot out of classroom discussions and groupwork. 1on1=clarification

He is ok, a little dry. Very bold to wear the salmon shirt. I never went to many lectures because I hate english. Give him a chance and you might learn something. We had tutorials that rocked the house.
