Compared to Anthro 1032, this man is a godsend. A very good lecturer and good storyteller too. You will certainly learn something in this course. The exams are for the most part based on the lectures, but there are some elements from the textbook here and there. What's not to love about a man who's friendly and can poke fun at his own upbringing?

Very friendly, understanding, and all around nice guy. He loves what he does, and he's good at it. He encourages participation in class, but never puts you on the spot or makes you feel uncomfortable. You've got to know your stuff to do well, but if you go to class and pay attention it won't be too hard.

An amazing prof. Loves his work, keeps saying he is retiring "next year" but each year he's back again! Makes learning fun. I really don't find his exams that hard, all you have to do is show up for class and pay attention which is not a hard thing to do because he really makes his topics interesting.
