This class is test heavy and project oriented. Dwyer is an amazing guy and he will get you looking directly at the laws at hand. Although its a difficult class, he gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. The tests are open book, open notes.

Paul Dwyer is straight up amazing! He's so funny and talks a lot about his life experience as a lawyer and judge in class. Gives really practical information that applies to all individuals in real life. Not an easy A professor though. I'm taking another class with him in the Fall and I'm very excited. I can't say enough good things about this man.

The one semester when I actually tried academically in my 5 years of undergRAD i TOOK 18 CREDITS and these three were by far my favorite next to a class about the Mafia taught by a guy who just came from the FBI. Finance major at the time, Dwyer made Business Law hilarious and an event to attend. Law about businesses the business of law-great guy

Greatest professor at Siena. Such a knowledgeable man, he tells a lot of the same stories class after class, but he really knows his stuff. His tests are open book and note, but they're a bit tricky because of the wording. It requires very close concentration to do well on them. Always gives extra credit on the tests and grades with a curve.

Great professor. He has been a lawyer for a long time, he knows what he's talking about. Great class, must read chapters ahead of time or you won't know what he's talking about.

Dwyer is hilarious, always has crazy stories. Tests are pretty tough but they are all open note. Minimal work, just pay attention and participate every now and then. If you really try he will not fail you.

Dwyer is an awesome professor, he brings so much real life experience into the classroom and is really passionate about what he does. There's three tests that make up your grade, all open book but they still are a bit tricky. Must attend all classes and pay close attention! Don't have much work for the class but have to put in the effort to do well

Really funny professor who truly cares about his classes. He's been at Siena forever and a day and really goes the extra mile to explain things. Brings real world experience into the classroom and ties the class into accounting and business at times. Definitely a prof that will work with you on assignments if you need accommodation. Good class

Comment:

Prof. Dwyer, an ex ADA, made Business Law fun. Seriously. I was a finance major and took as an elective. 12 years later I am a CFA Level 1 candidate and still remember his lectures about Corporate Finance. He took us on a field trip to the State Courthouse. Enough said.

Dwyer is a cool dude but I'd recommend drinking a coffee or RedBull before almost every class because it is absolutely boring. If you don't go to class you will do very bad in the class but if you attend and take literally word by word notes you should get an A on every test.

He talks too fast. We had to buy this huge expensive textbook, but I got so many answers wrong on the first test because of what was said in the textbook. By far the BEST teacher at Siena College, texts are a little on the difficult side but if it helps they are open book and if the whole class bombs the test he will give a generous curve to help you out substantially. He's a Stud and knows absolutely makes a boring class quite interesting with his sarcastic humor. Take Him For Reallllz
