Great professor. Will answer almost any question you ask. Projects are very large and time consuming but are extremely helpful for learning skills that are required to be an actual engineer.

Walking in the halls I had noticed a window display next to the Electrical/Computer Department, he wrote 7 books varying from LAN to SQL. When the person previously put a Database Jesus, he wasn't kidding.. He wrote 'the' book..

Comment:

Fortier is the Jesus of databases, thus making this course very difficult for the student, especially grads. The homeworks are tons of work and the project is no joke, do not take this course unless you plan to spend a long time on it. If you're looking to become a database guru and are serious about it, then by all means take him, if not beware!
