Dr. Gutjahr is the best professor I have had at IU and his course L111 is the best class I have taken during my four years at Indiana University. Gutjahr is AMAZING.. without a doubt the best professor at IU, hands down. I hate reading and there is a lot of reading (about one novel each week) though it is completely worth it! His last lecture was so inspirational and made me cry. Everyone should experience a class with Gutjahr before leaving IU.

If you have a chance to take a class with Paul, DO IT. I promise you won't be disappointed. Not an even an English major but L111 was one of my favorite classes. He makes every lecture fun and interesting. Show up, read the readings, and you'll do great. His last lecture made me cry it was so moving. AWESOME PROF.

Mr. Guthajr has been my favorite professor so far in college. He is extremely passionate about his work. Also, he is hilarious which is always a plus. His last lecture was one of the most moving things I have ever heard. He made me realize I want to be an english major. I DEFINITELY recommend taking this class.

One of the best professors I've had in college so far. Gives amazing lectures that are always interesting. He is hilarious and seems to actually care about his students. I love going to his class and will be sad when it ends. He's an awesome professor. I would take any class he instructs.

Best English professor I've ever had. He is such a funny and nice guy and he made class so enjoyable. I never missed a class all semester. He is so knowledgeable and passionate about what he's teaching, and it makes the class better for it. Planning to take another class with him, and was sad to see this class end.
