Comment:

He is a very knowledgeable teacher but he has a bit of a monotone so don't take it early in the morning. His tests are easy if you are willing to study the 30+ page study guides. There is lots of extra credit available on the tests and in class so getting an A is very possible in this class.

The man is extremely knowledgable and loves what he does. He really wants you to learn... provides study sessions, and study guides that are about 30 pages. I had overall mixed feelings about his class. It's alot of information no matter who you take, keeping up with the readin is the most important.

Monotone? Yes. Good Teacher? Of course. The tests may seem daunting but in reality there are so many extra credit questions you are almost guaranteed an A. You get random extra credit points for showing up sometimes (added to tests) and at the end of the year if you've only missed two days wherein he takes attendance (rarely) you receive ten percen

he is completely monotone and you can't even try to pay attention in his class. his study guides are worthless considering they are 10 million pages long. if u know it all then u get A's, but thats every single thing you could know about bio. first test is exactly like practice test he gives you. others read the book and understand concepts.

If you go to the study sessions he gives you all the answers to the study guide. If you study that the tests are easy. I never go to class and have gotten a 98% on both tests so far. His tests are 50 questions...and there are 10 make-up questions that replace ones that you may have gotten wrong. I would recommend taking his class if you have to take Bio.

I agree with the boring class comment... also, I really liked how his exam quetions went 10x more into depth than when the material was covered in class. He posts 27 page exam reviews that cover material not covered in class. Real great...

Its a tough class but his study sheets are awsome if you can fill them out completely. I was going to fail becasue I missed too many labs but he worked something out with the lab coordinator and I ended up with a B. He has a big heart and a passion for teaching.

It was a hard class because he had to fit so much info into a short amount of time. However, he went out of his way to help students outside of class. He had review sessions every night the week before a test.
