I thought his class would be one of my harder ones, but it was surprisingly easier than I thought. We would read novels from the textbook in class and he would assign a paper on them. I would get high B's or A's from writing the essay and then going to the writing lab to have them look over it and tell me what would make the essay better.

I LOVED this class! 3 papers...just pay attention, because he will tell you exactly what he wants to see. Poetry was fun. Our final consisted of the Hamlet paper, 25 multiple choice questions (he gave us a study guide...it was identical), and memorizing and writing out a poem from the book. Fairly easy, but still very fun.

Great Teacher, he most def. keeps things interesting. You have 3 papers over 3 different plays that you read in class. (A Doll's House, Hamlet, and Death of a Salesman) He allows you to revise the 1st 2 papers if you get below a 70% for a totally new grade. Poetry section is fun, just pay attention and it should be fine.

Dr. Lake is great! He's funny and random. He makes World Lit fun. He gives lots of easy quizzes to help grades out. There are only two tests but most of the questions come from the quizzes. He explains things really well. His class is definitely my favorite this semester, and I plan on taking as many of his classes as I can. TAKE HIM!!

I had him for World Lit, so a ton of reading was required. But he is probably the easiest teacher that you could take compared to the others for this class. I didn't buy any of the books needed for the class, I just read everything from sparknotes; this probably wasn't a good idea. He gives a lot of quizzes and very few tests, the quizzes are easy.

Dr. Lake is a fantastic teacher. He's funny, outgoing, and makes any class he teaches interesting. I've had him for Creative Writing, Introduction to World Literature, and Poetry Workshop, and he approaches each subject with vigor. Although, he does kinda love to hear himself talk, and he's a bit unorganized, he's a great teacher.

Everything was fine til he made us read a poem that he wrote about RAPING A STUDENT and telling the student in the poem that she won't get away with tattling cuz it's his word against hers. Highly inappropriate!! Also loves to talk about all his drinking buddies at Stanford instead of talking about the course subject: POETRY. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

He was really interested in our opinions as a class. Lots of group discussion. Very good at what he teaches. He knows what he's talking about and makes it easier to understand. He is very understanding and the tests are SUPER easy. Make sure to keep copies of ALL of the quizzes because he re uses most if not all of them on his tests. MC & T/F tests

I would suggest this guy to anyone with an interest in literature and a sense of humor. Professor Lake makes literature easier to understand. Most of the stuff we had to read was done as a class. The class was pretty easy. We only had to write three essays total and read some poetry. The class was a very easy A. He doesn't grade hard at all,
