Dr. Pacheco is a very sweet man and tries to make the lectures fun for everyone. Although attendance is not mandatory, you should go to all the lectures and make sure you read the assigned readings. The tests generally tend to be difficult but if you study, read the material assigned and attend lectures you will do great!

Great Professor who is very passionate about anthropology. His class made me consider anthro as minor, and the lectures were always interesting. Make sure to do the reading as it's assigned or else you'll be struggling to get it all done before the final. The short answer questions on the tests are heavily based on the supplemental readings.

Although to many Anthropology is a pretty boring topic, Pacheco gets into his lectures and makes you want to go to class, he's funny, and sometimes sarcastic but wants you to succeed. He will always tell you what to expect on his tests and makes it known that you have to read in order to do well. I highly recommend taking any of his classes!

Dr. Pacheco is a gem, he is really funny and tries his best to make the boring material interesting. His class can be challenging so you need to be prepared to work. There is lots of reading you need to do in order to pass. If you don't study you won't do well on the tests they're all essays pretty much. Other than that 10/10 recommend.

Pacheco is a really great professor and lecturer. The frustrating part about this class is the exams. They're usually 20-30 mc, 3-5 short answer, and 2 essays within the 50 minute period. Make sure you really know your stuff cause he'll take off points if you don't reference authors from the readings in the essays and if you aren't SUPER specific.

Pacheco is a really great professor who is really passionate about what he does, which makes for interesting lectures. His exams are based on class lectures and outside articles (which are usually 20-40 pages), and are multiple choice/short answer. This was the first Anthro class I've taken, and its a class I look forward to going to every day.

Pacheco is very passionate about what he teaches. There is only one paper and three tests that make up your grade and it requires a lot of reading but if you study they aren't that hard. He is a very nice guy but lectures can get boring.

Best professor I have ever had. His lectures pretty much tell you what you need to know for the test, just do some light studying and do the readings and you'all be fine. Very captivating speaker and makes even the most boring of subject matter interesting. Made me want to become and Anthropology major.

Paul Pacheco is the worst professor I have ever had in my college career. He is condescending, unorganized and cares more about preaching his political views than teaching anthropology. Avoid him at all costs. He grades his 100 level class (gen ed) as if it's a 300 level writing class of anthro majors.

He is a fair grader and tells you clearly what the format of the test will be. There are three test and one paper (you get three different opportunities to write the paper). All of them are easy to complete but make sure you do the outside readings and pay attention during lecture. Lectures can get a little boring.

Professor Pacheco is passionate and knows his stuff when it comes to Anthropology. His enthusiasm keeps you interested in the lecture. You have 3 exams and 1 essay. You know when every thing is due and what is expected which makes this class easier. Content gets difficult to follow for the last exam. You have to study, this class is test heavy.

This class was very interesting. It really opened my mind about the different lifestyles and conceptions from certain individuals have outside of America. The exams are 70 MC's with 3 short answers (10 pts each) which wasn't bad except the final which was more difficult than the other two exams. Great class though.

Pacheco is awesome. He is super excited about what he teaches, so you'll enjoy this class even if you're just taking it for credit. Grade is based on three exams and a paper, so make sure to study really hard for them. Mainly memorizing terms. Read the PDFs, all essays are based on them. Paper isn't hard, you'll do well if you put in the effort.

Pacheco is one of the most animated teachers you'll have at Geneseo. He knows his stuff. But tests are harder than you think, but he's a fair grader. Make sure you read your book! You won't get higher than a 70 without it! Only requires one essay on one of three movies he shows in class. Enjoy!

One of the best teachers I've ever had. Totally inspirational. Great way to fulfill social sciences or cultures credit, or to just take a look at anthropology. He is why I declared an anthropology major. 10/10 would recommend. I would follow this man to the ends of the earth. Plus he's really funny.

Dr. P is one of the most accommodating profs here. I tried to get into this already-full class for a solid week and he was there for me every step of the way. This was an easy class with only 1 mandatory paper and a few exams. What a hilarious guy, too. Made the 1.5 hour lecture something to look forward to. This was my fave gen. ed to take!

I really enjoyed this class, the beginning was a little confusing but lectures and topics got more objective towards the end. I expected harsh grading after the first test but was pleasantly surprised by my grades on the following essay and exam 2. Pacheco is funny and interesting to listen to and very personable. Would recommend!
