I really like Dr. Phillips as a Professor. The people giving him the poor ratings are likely not History majors or minors. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the material and teaches it flawlessly. His lecture style might be a little dull, but it's impossible not to learn anything. He's a Professor of the old school, when academics mattered more.

Dr. Phillips isn't really the greatest prof but he does know his stuff. He's a little tone death and it's hard to stay awake in his class BUT he follows the text making it easy to study for tests and exams and he his exam outlines make the exam a little easier.

Dr. Phillips is a great prof. He is very passionate about is area of research, shich makeshis lectures very interesting. Although he can be intimidating at first, he is easy to, he cares about his students and is extremely helpful. He has offered me great academic advice and I am glad to have had a class with him while at X
