Professor Walsh was one of the kindest profs I've encountered in the Business Faculty! I'm really glad I had him as a professor. He really cares about his students and makes topics interesting. I also liked the structure of the course (A group project, two midterms, final). Professor Walsh accommodated students when he knew they were in busy period

Amazing Professor! Such a nice guy and is very approachable. Provides clear guidelines for what will be on the midterm and final, and makes the material relatable. Overall, would 100% recommend Paul Walsh to anyone.

Class is so boring and there's no need to go there. He gives 0 hints on exams so reading the book and taking notes on your own will be enough. I found there to be no benefit of going to class.

Comment:

2 courses from being done with my degree and this was by far, the worst prof I encountered at Memorial. Spent class telling stories and spent no time instructing on the material. Made it very difficult to learn. Seems like a nice enough person but a terrible instructor (which is necessary for a finance course).

One of the worst Prof's I have taken a course with. The chapters to study for the units were unclear, he took a long time responding to questions. On the tests there would be questions on chapters not covered yet. He said we would get credit but we did not get our tests back so who knows? Did get to bring a cheat sheet of your own.

If you want an easy prof who only grades with letter grades and you barely even need to study for his exmas, take his course. HE is a very approachable prof and goes through his material well....he also brings in some guest speakers that are not on the course outline and they are usually interesting. I would take his course again

Did his finance course by distance. HIGHLY RECCOMEND over classroom. I think something was wrong with him during spring 2011 semester. He was completely absent from the discussions, and hardly answered a question. We had some very frustrated students. His "study guide" for the final was very strange, but actually amazing. TRY hard to understand it!

I attended his distance class of B4500 and he was the worst prof in Faculty of Business I have ever met.He doesn't care students and few feedback or response from him.And he never reply your email if you ask him either academic questions or grades inquires.Also, a tough marker for the assignment.AVOID HIM!

In this web course I found the prof made very few comments. Took long time to respond to questions when he actually responded. Gave 2 assignments but never gave the answers to them. He kept saying he would post answers in a couple of days but never did. He posted comments (not answers)a week before the final. Never did give me my participation mar

It?s a shame he didn?t teach in class in the summer. Sometimes takes a while to get back to questions on D2L but if you need a quick answer to a question, you can call and gives good help. Got your marks back at a good time. Tests were super easy. I?d give him a B+.

One of the best teachers I've had through the Commerce program. Extremely accommodating in every sense of the word. Changed our class' midterm dates to whatever worked best for us. Very fair marker, and an extremely nice guy. Would recommend to anyone!

Amazing compared to the alternatives (i.e. Deacon). He is a decent lecturer, clear, willing to drop your lowest mark, and often tests exact same questions from slides. I suck at math and I managed to get an A with him! Our final was a joke compared to Deacon's!

Good guy, he's approachable. Expect some ambiguity in the course though - as far as preparing you for exams. He knows his stuff.
