Comment:
While the class was interesting, she doesn't respect students opinions unless they are her own. Grades harshly and doesn't give a lot of feedback or helpful criticism to improve. Grading toughness does not match the fact that it is a lower level English elective with majors of all kinds and skills.

Dr. Feldman is quite the stickler, but it is for good reason. You will actually have to apply yourself in her class - she's definitely not the type of professor to let you slide by with minimal effort. Her feedback can be very harsh but if you put on a thick skin, you will inevitably grow as a writer in her class.

Comment:
Dr. Feldman seems to teach mostly graduate classes, so she expects a lot out of her undergraduate students. Her class was very entertaining and I looked forward to it. Most of your grade is essays, but she's willing to work with you and will look over rough drafts, so make sure you send them to her because that's very helpful.

Comment:
I've never met a person so arrogant. Apparently being an "avid bird watcher" makes her qualified enough to say Congaree Rangers are lazy and stupid. She told our class to show up and harass directors of nonprofit organizations and then told me that what they needed "wasn't applicable for the assignment". This class is an expensive waste of time.

Comment:
Taking this class is basically trying to regurgitate what she said into an essay. Make sure its her idea and not your own. I took this class thinking analyzing these pieces would mean my own opinion would be taken into consideration. She doesn't take well to others ideas unless it branches directly from her own. Has a bit of an attitude as well

This professor is self focused and really doesn't appear to care about her students, even thought she states otherwise. This feminist knows the subject matter but doesn't convey it well to the class. She is difficult to communicate with. I would strongly advise that you seek another professor in orderto take such literature courses.

She is a horrible professor and a tough grader. She said she would make lots of notes and to take the time to read them but she only wrote 2 comments on a paper she gave me a D on.

Dr. Feldman is very intelligent and knows it. She expects the best you can give. Her grading is harsh, but her feedback is incredible. If you pay attention and participate, you'll pass.

This class was hard and the body of work for it was at times overwhelming. However, it was easily the most enjoyable and rewarding class I have ever taken. If you don't enjoy books and heavy research, this class is not for you. Dedication is necessary, as is communication with both your instructor and classmates. You have to seek her help yourself.

This lady is pretty awful. She only cares about her own opinions. If you want to make a good grade, reiterate exactly what she says in class. I made a C on my first paper, so I started going to speak with her about my ideas before I wrote my papers and I stared getting A's because I wrote what she wanted to hear. Don't waste your time

One of her positive points is the fact she is knowledgeable about her material. Her negative points are that she assigns a lot of reading. She is willing to accept ideas, but only if she finds them interesting or reflect her own. Even if you are doing bad in the class, you have a chance to make a good grade based on your final.

So much reading. She doesn't care about her students and expects you to just reiterate her viewpoints. I failed my first two papers by including original thoughts but when I spit her thoughts back at her she gave me A's. What a useless class.

The most spectacular professor I had during my college career. Initially I was turned off by the amount of reading, but she draws you in. She's brilliant, and if you're struggling, very open to meeting with you in her office. She expects you to work, but also really wants you to do well. You're paying a lot for college. Take good professors.

So enthusiastic about her stuff. A genuinely nice person, but not the best teacher. She has a hard time leading the discussions, but usually that was because students hadn't done the reading. Wish she would let students choose more of what they want to read. She explains things superbly, but doesn't understand things from a student's perspective.

She really doesn't care what you think. And she does produce femenist bs like no other. But she is also very smart very respected by the entire english department and if you try you at least make a B.For my class the final exam determined your final grade. until that point i was a C+ student(she grades tough) but my final grade was B+

She was hard to listen to and extremely disorganized. Her lectures were boring and one-sided. She pretends it's easy to get an A, and then grades harshly. Extremely pompous about work and is not respectful of other opinions.

I did everything she told me to and still didn't get an A. She didn't explain the grading policy at all; I have no idea how my final grade was calculated, and she once told me that an 87 was an A- (?). I am a straight A student and don't feel I deserve the grade she gave me, and you probably won't, either. Unless you're one of her favorites.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! She isn't interested in your opinions on the readings, she just wants you to repeat her feminist ideas. Expects undergrads to write papers like a grad student. I attended every class & put a lot of effort into my papers & couldn't make higher than a B (I am usually a straight A student). If you value your GPA find someone else.
