Easy class, but A LOT of work. 5 one-page and 4 two-page page single-spaced papers along with 2 exams (she tells you all the answers the class before) and a take-home final. You'll learn a good amount as well. Not an easy A Gen Ed if you don't put the effort in. Random extra credit given out for attendance later in the semester too.

Best teacher I've had at UMass!!! go to class and you'll get a 100 on everything. she makes this material really interesting even if you'v never been interested in it before. Highly recommend this GenEd (SBU).

I strongly recommend this class to everybody. The course gives you very useful knowledge. And prof. Stamps makes it very interesting. Go to class, participate in the discussion, and you'll do well in the class.

Really interesting class. Learned a lot from it. Didn't think I was going to find it interesting, but I did. Best Gen-Ed to take for the SB and U. Grading: 2 100pt exams (very easy if you have been going to class). 4 20pt class response papers (easy). 5 out of 6 10pt film response papers (easy). Take home 3-5pg 50pt final exam essay.

Paula is the best professor I've had at Umass so far (pubhealth 129) She is crystal clear about everything that's going to be on tests. She teaches material that is relevant, and makes sure we know it. I recommend going to class not just because you want a good grade on the test, but to learn a great deal in an area that will help you in the future

This was my favorite class I have ever taken. I learned so much about healthcare each and every class. Stamps is an awesome teacher and really wants everyone to succeed. The TAs are very helpful as well. I highly recommend this class, it was easy too!

I took health care for all semi-interested in the health field to begin with, & this class gave great insight to the whole system. stamps is a great professor and super nice. not a lot of homework at all, 2 3pg papers & 3 short film responses. exams aren't that bad if you go to lecture & pay attention.. she makes it really interesting, great class!

I took "health care for all" to get my U requirement, expecting it to be a terrible class. Stamps is actually an awesome professor and I ended up learning a lot. Easy A, not much work, nice and clear prof, actually interesting gen-ed.

In general, great class. Boring at first, interesting debates from time to time, learned a lot about the health care world in the end. Show up, take notes & you'll be golden. You have to buy her lecture notes, but it's worth it. She gives extra credit for showing up to class. Really great prof, super nice and cheery.

A lot of people in this class are pre-med and think that they know everything and it is pretty funny to watch and find out that they don't and then wait and see if they will ever realize it. There are lots of ignorant people too, always interesting. The class is kind of lame but easy.

You don't have to go to class to learn anything cause she barely covers about any course material, in class, that will be on the exam and when she does she is very bad at it. Rebecca is the best TA for the course she will teach you everything you need to know.

paula made me want to go to class, her lectures are interesting and she presents the material in such a manner that makes it very easy to understand. best teacher ive had at umass so far! discussions are only held every few weeks and def pick Rebecca as your TA when taking this class.

Stamps takes everything you do very personally. She is unable to accept the different ways that people learn. She doesn't really teach the class, her TA's teach the class. If you want an easy course, this is it, if you have a good TA.
