Dr. Russo is by far one of my favorite profs to date. She is extremely intelligent, and made me a better writer. Her course was challenging, but incredibly fun. Sadly, she recently retired. Fortunately I was able to be a part of her final Shakespeare course at MA.

My review is rather tardy since I had her for Honors English, Literature written in wartime and Shakespeare in 94-96. Did I learn from this phenominal, quirky teacher? Yes. She made me think. She improved my writing skills. And since I have one book published and two more under contract, I thank her for demanding excellence.

Be ready for an eccentric personality. If you don't like dramatic people, she's going to rub you the wrong way. Don't take this class if this is your first creative writing class; it's going to be too hard to read her mind to figure out what she wants. Her weird and shifting "Not-Set-In-Stone Schedule" aka syllabus is confusing as to what's due.

She is pretty weird. I took the same class at a different college, but it didn't transfere. I printed off papers from that class to hand in. I got an A on every paper at the other college, but I got a B in the class. She was grading ridiculously!

Class was a lot of work, but I guess that's what you get when you go honors. In any case, I was slightly disappointed with my grades for my first two papers, but as the semester went on, I began to work more closely with her and paid more attention to her expectations: got an A-, and I'm proud of it
