Initially I was terrified of this class, she was so stylish and always spoke so academically, and above my head, I didn't understand the concepts or what she wanted. Everything I turned in she said it was good...but. Always a but. So I started meeting with her and talking with her and learning her. She is a class act and taught me a lot.

A lovely, kind, intelligent person. A gentle teacher. She cares, and you will feel it. She's very understanding and easy to talk to. Her philosophical perspective makes her versatile. She likes to consider all things, so original thought is welcome. She is one of the best professors I had at Agnes Scott, and someone I'll always remember fondly.

I absolutely LOVED her class. Her teaching style is awesome, and she is so HELPFUL. We proof read papers with both the class and her, and she's always willing to help even if you just drop by with your paper. Her class actually made me consider majoring in English

i got VERY sick and was unable to attend class,i was unconscious,up to her fail amount then my grandma died and she said i should have saved an absence.my friend's comp crashed and she asked for an extra day on the final paper and thompson left a message on her mach at AG(not voicemail)we all heard

had her for 280 and hated that class and was not a huge fan of hers...had her for 480, worked my butt off, and loved her and the feedback she gave. the harder you work, and the less you suck up and brown nose, the more she's going to like you.

I love Dr. Thompson. She is so helpful ( all you have to do is go talk to her)--she has given me extensions many times. Her classes may be a little dry, but i think it is the material, not her. She is actually quite funny. I love every class I've had.

Dr. Thompson is extremely intelligent and it shows in the way she teaches her classes. She is also fair and does not pick favorites. I found her interesting, her grading made sense, and she never put me to sleep (unlike some other English professors!)
