Comment:
Professor Eardley was an alright prof. His lectures were extremely boring and he had a habit of rambling, but he knew the content. I enjoyed the seminars much more than the actual lectures (although that was because I had an amazing TA) you really only needed to do the seminar readings and you can do just fine without doing the lecture readings.

I personally found the lectures to be kinda boring. But, it's easy to get marks and the content is pretty straight forward. Midterm was pretty straightforward.

Rambles on through lecture. Doesn't really answer student question when they arise. Monotone tone to lecture. While subject material is interesting, Eardley manages to dull it down somehow. While it is a philosophy class, there is minimal to no discussion at all which is wack! On top of that, no office hours. Take it if you don't bore easy

Ignores many questions that students have, shuts down all attempted class discussions immediately, makes interesting material dull.

His lecture notes are only done in class and does a lot of explaining in class to help you understand. Wasn't looking forward to this course but he made it much more interesting.

Very helpfull prof. Great lectures, although he tends to use big words for the sake of big words so you may want to bring a dictionary. No overheads for this specific class which made it a LOT easyer to pay attention, and more interactive with the blackboard in play. GO TO LECTURES, the text book has a lot of information but he goes into detail.

Fabulous professor. Lectures were extremely well organized and interesting. I didn't have much respect for the subject area beforehand but he increased my interest in the branch of philosphy. He was respectful and didn't talk down to us lowly students - by far one of my favourite professors, and not least a sight for sore eyes!

He's a pretty good professor. Basically spells out everything you need to know - caters to the first years. The subject matter is interesting, but it will be a review if you took philosophy in high school. An easy pass, a straightfoward class, and fairly interesting if not thought provoking.

Peter is one of my fave profs - he doesn't talk down to his students at all and is interactive. I love the way he paces back and forth and plays with the chalk while he's talking. He makes an effort to get to know his students and I've never felt intimidated by him.
