Reading the textbook and looking stuff up online gets you further than listening to him, but at least he tries to help, I guess. He just has a tendency to make things seem harder than they are.

Dr. Ibbott has been by far my favourite prof since i started studying economics. Currently in my fourth year, finishing my thesis for HSP Econ, and Dr. Ibbott has offered to be my supervisor. I would recommend this class to anyone, very highly.

He hand wrote all lectures on an overhead and didn't post so you should probably go to class. He loves economics so if you try to take an interest in the course and go to his office hours your grade will reflect that. Don't ask him questions he answered in lectures, he'll most likely call you out. Overall good professor, very funny.

I took his course in 201516 fall term and the course is soooo awesome! It is relaxing on his classes and he gave great suggestions on learning economics both in undergrad level and graduate level. I would also say he is the best economic prof I have met at Western.

If you are not a natural learner and you have to work hard in university, you will have to work extra hard in his class. I got a good mark but it was very difficult. He doesn't want to be there, he doesn't test how he teachers and he doesn't like to help you during his office hours. He is funny and interesting

Sarcastic Guy.. but in a funny way... not mean. He puts a cool Philosophy spin on economics which makes things interesting. Go to every class! He tests exclusively from his lecture notes. If you memorize the notes and understand the diagrams you will ace the course. Funny Guy!
