Difficult course. Don't take many other classes when you take his class, reading extensively is required for each class, as he cold calls you in class, embarrassing the people who don't read. Tests have no study guide, and all materials are covered. Usually they are 20-30 multiple choice and 7 essay Qs on ANY topic. Good Luck.

doesnt do his own readings, thinks he knows it all and regardless if your right...your wrong in his eyes. doesnt let you know what he expects on hw. first exam covered 300 pages of material. insane workload on top of that. on the plus side if you value education and really want to learn through reading (alot) and group discussion then A+

This guy is a pretentious ass who puts students on the spot during class and berates them. Class is not fun and the workload is insane. If I didn't need this class to graduate I would drop it immediately.

Take his summer course if you can. It is SO much easier. Goes slower, helps out more. My friend, whom has always earned better grades than I got a C-; I took his summer course and got a B+.
