Peter is an AMAZING teacher! I wish there was more I could select for tags for him. Like: Respectful to Students, Understanding, Enthusiastic, and Knowledgeable. He really is a dream to wake up to (Early class) He makes you wanna be there. Just love him!

The class was very interesting as were the readings (though there were a lot of them) and there were only two papers so that meant they were worth a lot but it was manageable. He's definitely a tough but fair marker, if you put in the effort and are passionate about english you should do fine.

While at times an okay teacher, he goes on long rants about politics and electronics which limits the effectiveness of class. No need to do the daily homework as he always goes over it in class (taking up most of class). Marks oddly. One assignment, he didn't mark anything past a certain point and gave me a 70% as I "spent too much time on it".

Great prof! Likes teaching and is willing to help as long as you've done some work already. Show up to class and do the homework (which is fairly straight forward and doesn't take hours) and he will make an effort to get to know you. Take rough drafts of essays in for him to look at and he will read through them and direct you what to work on.

Peter is a fantastic professor. He's very passionate about literature, and he makes it interesting. It does take effort to do well on his essays, however he's very willing to discuss ideas, review drafts, and help in general. He gives helpful feedback, and teaches not only effective writing, but also how to use research well. Great prof.

A very interesting guy, who made Lit Analysis(which can go either way depending on the teacher) a great class. Has a passion for analysis, and is happy to be challenged and consider alternative ideas. Great classroom discussion, and marks fairly but slowly. He will expect students to pitch in, though. Stories/poems are all online, avoid textbook.

Peter Slade has been by far one of my most enjoyable english instructors. I found the material to be at an appropriate college level. My experiecne in his class was enjoyable and I was able to learn a few things. I would recommend this instructor to a friend or a professional stident. He is a hard marker, but you will learn a lot from his program.

Knows his stuff and was interesting to listen to. He likes to engage with students in class and sometimes calls on random students, though. The marking system he used was strange, but if you ask questions, he's happy to clarify things for you. A really nice guy, though gives a lot of homework.

Couldn't have asked for a better professor to start my first year after being out of school for the last 8... Very helpful, and spends alot of time breaking everything down so you really get it. Homework is appropriate, and he is very fair. Be real with yourself, do the work, and you'll be fine. He's awesome!

Peter is a really good teacher! It's hard to go to English at 9 EVERY morning, but that's just my personal preference. He gives appropriate amounts of homework, and they always have something to do with what you learned in the last class. He definitely makes sure everyone knows the material before he moves on. Overall, AWESOME PROF!

Good teacher. But you will be doing essays. I didn't know how to write one when I started ENGL 219 by the end of ENGL 220 I was getting B's and A's. He takes while to mark things though.
